If you can get your head around the fact this place was built in 1930 you’ll be fine. It means no phone and a room so small you won’t be able to change your mind. Tip: Consider entering the building from the rear; suitcases are difficult to lift up the steep front stairs. But

We stayed for two nights the service was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The period features of the building were beautiful. We had the cooked breakfast which was also plenty to set us up for the day and rather tasty. Location is

Fantastic Katrina, we are so happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us. She has plenty to offer & we are glad the kids had a great time exploring the Metropole. The flat is great for families who like to have their own space & not be living on top of each other. We hope to see you all again when you next visit the Blue Mountains.

Queen Room
Room No.9 hotel front corner top level
Big screen on the wall. Why bother.
Tiny side-bedroom for 1 child or small adult.
Small wardrobe, but even that is too big in this tiny room.

Our family occupied 4 rooms while I was there. 1 Double and 3 queen rooms. All of our rooms had showers only. They have a restaurant which is open for breakfast every day and dinner on some nights. They have multiple spaces with lounge chairs with side tables where you can sit and read while you sip on your drink. They also have a library room where you can get the books to read. There is also a games room. Unless your are seeking a quiet and relaxing stay, this accommodation is not for you.

"Make sure lift working if you need it. Don't choose room with water pipes if you are a light sleeper."
"For sunlight Room 9, only if a sound sleeper. Rear or internal rooms less sunlight but quieter. Lift access to all levels."
"The driveway to the hotel carpark is a little steep and narrow, Ferraris might not get on too well with it!"
"You might get stuck for parking, because while the building is large, the parking area is not."
