Rooms are quite basic but suited us for the time spent. Well worth the stay - lovely old world charm and break out rooms for reading or just relaxing - great brekkie. Do yourself a favour and call in - money well spent.

Really friendly and helpful staff. It is a quiet and quaint place to stay. Comfy bed and well-appointed room. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore. They have nice music once a month. Continental breakfast available. Slept like a Log.

We brought a Groupon voucher to cover our stay and it was well worth the investment. Wine on arrival, a good room and a hearty breakfast in the morning. Registering was very efficient and the staff were great. The Metropole is very close to the shops while being one corner from

If you like something different from staying in modern hotel you will love this. Built in 1933 and you could imagine the ambiance of that era. We very much enjoyed it. Very convenient to everything and they provide free parking at Exgo Point.

Lovely 30s period guesthouse well maintained into the present. The ground floor dining room and the library and other rooms on the 1st floor all maintain a distinctive old world flavor. We only had single rooms, which were very small but clean and well maintained. Staff are

Thanks Chris, we are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. We are lucky to have kept the charm from the 30's. We pride ourselves on having staff that make you feel welcomed & being locals know about the local area & its many attractions & hidden treasurers. Being a guesthouse we do try to keep the feel as authentic as possible, we do have slightly shorter hours to a few of the other local hotels, motels, but find a majority of our guests are in by closing. We do have an easy to follow " late arrival procedure" for those that can't make it. Just let us know & we can give you all the details, either by email, text or phone. Chris we hope you continue to enjoy your trip. Safe Travels

Queen Room
Room No.9 hotel front corner top level
Big screen on the wall. Why bother.
Tiny side-bedroom for 1 child or small adult.
Small wardrobe, but even that is too big in this tiny room.
Our family occupied 4 rooms while I was there. 1 Double and 3 queen rooms. All of our rooms had showers only. They have a restaurant which is open for breakfast every day and dinner on some nights. They have multiple spaces with lounge chairs with side tables where you can sit and read while you sip on your drink. They also have a library room where you can get the books to read. There is also a games room. Unless your are seeking a quiet and relaxing stay, this accommodation is not for you.
