We opted for the coupon deal - and stayed for 5 nights. Wished we hadn't. Although the hotel has the best location opposite the railway station - we heard every train during the night. Goods trains shunting, & crossing the points every night. Ear plugs helped. The bedroom was sad, and a bit dirty. Lounges looked pretty but 70 years...

We stayed at the Metropole in August 2014 as an extended family Yulefest. We were given keys to a room with a double bunk for twins and a dangerously placed fan directly above the bed. The bunk had no rails for either child and our 3rd child was expected to lie on the floor on a sad excuse for a...

Went on a Scoopon deal. Good enough for one night, nothing special. Many of the inclusions promised with the deal were missing. We asked for them and they did deliver, but no the greatest. Good central location with plenty of food options nearby.

My wife and I decided we would like a romantic mountains getaway earlier this year before she headed off overseas on a trip for her university. After looking up some places and looking at the pictures the Metropole had promise. Sadly the promise did not live up to expectation. Now to be fair, the Metropole itself is nicely located almost...

Shared four bedroom family room with four others, ground floor, bedrooms good, table for eating quite small and nowhere to cook. Lounge room small, bathroom huge, but unfortunately toilet is located in bathroom. Very clean and serviced with towels. No air conditioning so could be very hot during summer, facilities nice, did not eat as very close to restaurants, main...

My girlfriend and I stayed at The Metropole Guesthouse during our trip. We looked a lot online at hotels and places to stay, we actually decided to go with The Metropole Guesthouse after reading several good reviews along with finding the Groupon deal online. The Groupon deal really made the stay very affordable. It was a packaged deal and we...

I wish I could give this hotel a higher review as the place has lots of character and the rooms have everything you need and are spotless, staff are very friendly and helpful but nowhere to be seen after 4:30pm so if you need to use the iron there is no one there to get the laundry room key from....

We had a great stay. They are heritage listed and do not have aircon, but have beautiful large fans. The painting of each room is fantastic. The furniture in the library, lounge and meeting room is period furniture with attention to detail. The full cooked brekkie was a delight. Hotel so well located near railway, the hop-on hop-off tour bus,...

If you are visiting the amazing Blue Mountains, Katoomba is one of the most convenient towns for seeing the Three Sisters. The Metropole Hotel is a typical 100 year old hotel that has been renovated into a really nice comfortable hotel. We upgraded from a standard to deluxe room and had ample space in this, including a nice lounge area....

I booked for an overnight stay in a double bedroom via the Metropole Guesthouse website; my partner and I were there to go to an art film screening that one of my friend's had an entry in. Blue Mountains have a great arts scene, venu was only a 5 min walk to get to from the Guesthouse. We had to...
