We spent a really lovely night in this hotel. The service was very good, they have night manager waiting for us. The room was quiet and nice. The hotel is decorated in old European style. It is looked very comfortable. The owner cooked breakfast for us and she was very friendly and nice. Also shared some stories of her when...

This place has a charming, timeless elegance. It makes you think of grander times. A place rich in Art Deco touches. Slightly worn at the edges but welcoming. I stayed here for a week a couple of months ago. The trip was only supposed to be for a few days but a medical emergency with my daughter extended my stay....

Room comfortable with decor in keeping with the house. We were welcomed as if old friends, and would definitely return. Outstanding value. Lounge room was very comfortable and had a great atmoshere. Breakfast was delicious. The pool is huge and there is generous outdoor seating.

I just stayed here just the one night as abit of a recuperating stop after travelling a lot and it was exactly what I needed, the hosts were very friendly and the house and pool are beautiful! I was especially lucky to get a upgraded room and had the best nights sleep I've had in ages! All in all would...

We were attending a friends funeral in town and the owner Helen upgraded us to one of her apartments closer to where the wake was to be held. We then came back to Melville House for breakfast. Absolutely stunning bed and breakfast. Food lovely. Gorgeous garden and pool for the summer time. Located near all the major places. Highly recommend.

Best of beds best of breakfast at a very reasonable rate on beautiful older family home. You can opt out of breakfast if you choose and loner term guests can negotiate the rate by week or month. Caution ..Some have stayed years. Helen is the perfect gracious host.

As i gave only 2 days notice i could only stay one night, " unfortunately ". This B&B is a large, interesting old home & has 6 rooms. I was upgradedto a huge first floor bedroom at the back, with a spotless large marble ensuite. It overlooked a very nice pool in the back yard. I did not need to...

The first thing you notice about Melville House is that Mike and Helen are very down to earth and no nonsense friendly. I felt I was being welcomed into their home, made more like a real home with all the beautiful paintings Helen has collected over the years, displayed throughout. It was never too much trouble to be given more...

We spent just one night in this beautiful house in Lismore whilst on a roadtrip, but it was truly wonderful. We had been drawn into booking here by the homey, spacious appeal of the pictures on this site, and I'm glad to say the real thing was all that we expected and more! Helen was extremely friendly and helpful, from...
