We really enjoyed our time at the retreat with its added benefits of a pool, coffee shop/restaurant and private courtyard attached to each oversized bathroom The owners Mary and Ken always make us feel very welcomed and special This is our second stay at the retreat and will be coming back again

We were welcomed like old friends by the owners who went right out of their way to make sure our stay was fabulous. I forgot to pack a birthday card for a function I was attending and their daughter Mel gave me one of hers to use. Small & quiet with plenty of parking & I love the spa bath... More

We spent 4 nights here on their mid week special deal. It was great value for money. A very quiet spot and only a few rooms so the feeling was very much like staying with friends. There is a cafe and restaurant on site, both with delicious food and coffee, plus plenty of off street parking. It is all in... More

This place is amazing! It is in a quiet little spot. There are only a few rooms, so you get a bit of privacy. The spa room was perfect, with the bathroom being bigger than most motel rooms. The spa was enormous and very comfortable. There is a little cafe as part of the retreat, which is open to the... More

If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable and homely place to stay then this place is for you. The hosts are delightful and go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable. The bedrooms are large as is the bathroom. The decor is not your typical modern design, it is quaint and has character. The bonus of this... More

We stayed mid week in the 'Wombat Room' and could not have asked for more. Looked after well by Mary & Ken in this tranquil setting and a short drive to all holiday locations in the Arakoon area. The room was comfortable and well appointed for a very reasonable tariff which includes a excellent hot breakfast. Very private 4 room... More

We really enjoyed our stay, had a lovely king garden room, very comfortable with a massive bathroom, breakfast included. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, we felt we were visiting friends. The meals at the cafe/restaurant were delicious, but you need to book as it was fully booked most nights! Excellent value, could not fault any aspect.

We were searching trip advisor for somewhere quiet and low key on the mid north coast for a few days R n R and had almost given up hope. Then we found the smoky cape retreat. Our 3 night stay was all we hoped for. A very quiet location in the bush only 15/20 mins from the centre of south... More

Late in the afternoon we found this great accommodation with terrific Italian restaurant in amongst a peaceful bushland setting….we loved it so much that we stayed an extra night. Our hosts Mary and Ken and their staff were very helpful and friendly, and the accommodation was clean and comfortable. The tariff was very reasonable and included a scrumptious cooked breakfast... Best meal I have had in years. Very friendly people. Will be back again but we will stay there next time as we paid $380 at the big 4 and this place was just like home. Thank you so much. They even adopted my son.. LOL.. Perfect.
