I spent 3 nights at the Discovery Lagoon when we first arrived on kangaroo Island. Dee met us at the entrance and we were wondering where the water for the lagoon was (it had dried out). Anyway, it didn't matter and we loved the park. There were only 10 or so other campers and caravans and it was spacious and...

First impressions after reading all the good reviews, was that we had been mistaken. Expected water for a start, and a nice bush campground. This place is stuck in the corner of open farmland on the edge of a dry swamp that apparently fills very rarely. The ammenities are excellent though, and I don't think KI has much at all...

Living up to it's name it really was a great discovery, very good value, tranquil location camping on the edge of the lagoon with the birds doing their thing and the trees rustling. Good clean amenities including a kitchen with gas (I used my own camp cooker though). Only down side to being on the lagoon is the mozzie's are...

For visitors wanting to camp, use an RV, caravan or camper trailer than don't overlook this great property. Hosts Dee and Tony have created a great park for visitors to KI to use as a base to explore the island.

Discovery Lagoon has terrific amenities for camping with communal kitchen and spotless toilets and showers. It was very peaceful with lots of bird life on the lagoon (late spring). We were close to plenty of interesting places and KI has a dragon boat club for you to join for a paddle at American River.

We had two great nights recently at the Discovery Lagoon Caravan Park on Kangaroo Island. It was a perfect base for exploring the Island which we did a lot of those three days and two nights. The sites are unpowered but that was fine for us as we were not around much in the day and had enough juice in...

Stayed here last xmas season with our family camper and tent. Peaceful, amazing subsets over the dried lagoon, camp kitchen was clean and well equipped. Pitches were spacious with plenty of trees, you never really felt like the site was full. Bathrooms were spotless- would recommend!

A serene bush setting beside a lagoon complete with well stocked camp kitchen and spotlessly clean amenities. Totally eco friendly. Sites are unpowered but generators can be used during the day to charge batteries. There are innovative lockable power boxes to charge phones etc . Hosts Dee and Tony go above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after....

I stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The bathroom and toilets were of an excellent standard - and even powered by solar panels (and nice gas hot water too). There are power boxes for charging phones/computers etc in the bathroom (which have a spot for your padlock too). All very well thought out. Tony and Dee...
