We stayed here as part of a school family excursion visiting the Naracoorte caves. The rooms were basic but clean and well maintained. The restaurant exceeded expectations and managed to cope very well with our large group (30 people) despite us arriving late for dinner on our first night there. Would definitely stay there again.

Great place for a get away. Staff are friendly and helpful during our stay. Rooms were clean and beds comfy. We dined for breakfast and dinner and were happy with everything we ordered. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a stop over in the south east.

I stayed here last week for 3 nights while attending a conference and am delighted I did. While rooms are dated, they are very clean and comfortable with good heating/aircon. The restaurant is great - lovely fresh local produce. All very friendly staff.

Host is very welcoming and helpful. There is a great little bar with some interesting wines and beers. The dining room offers quite a good and interesting menu however the service is a little slow. The cooked breakfast took 35 mins to arrive! My room was clean and comfortable. The airconditioning unit was effective and quiet.

Easy to find with plenty of parking. The room was very clean and was made up in the morning as l stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was great with more on my plate than the menu suggested. I would be happy to stay there again if l was visiting the area.

We arrived to a lovely greeting from extremely friendly staff. However, we paid $140 for a severely out-dated room with a really poor shower, limited, poor-quality toiletries provided, no wine glasses and a noisy aircon! This is a $80/night motel at best.

We stayed for one night as we travelled through town. The room was clean and comfortable with heating and electric blankets (perfect for the cold winter night). It was, however, very dated and in desperate need of an upgrade. However, as I said, it was absolutely fine for a stop over.

Average is probably best way to describe the rooms, but they are clean and tidy. In need of a facelift but felt comfortable. Hosts most welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. Ideal for a comparatively cheap stopover. Longer stays may be an issue.

Stayed here for 2 nights this week, and was pleasantly surprised! Rooms are a little dated, but comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable and the shower was amazing. Best.waterpressure.ever! Seriously... The shower alone is enough to get me to stay here next time I'm in town. Big breakfast at the Highlander was fantastic too! Only negatives were a noisy air...

Our hosts Bob & Belinda were a delightful couple & run a pretty good 'ship' as they say. I checked in & unfortunately the Kitchen smells came to meet me at Reception but the greeting on arrival made up for that one. The room was clean but somehow we felt that the Room was all about the wrong way as...
