We stayed for one night at the Lighthouse Keepers In. Whilst not the Ritz it was certainly enough for a holiday rental by the sea. The room we had was large with a large bed, TV, Air Con, fridge etc all you'd expect. The bathroom was large and clean. The room had a private balcony with great views looking out...

The Lighthouse Keepers Inn Motel is conveniently located a few minutes walk from the centre of town. There are five units, all on the second floor. Sea views are great. Room was clean, tidy and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Tea/coffee making facilities and toaster provided, but... There was an overwhelming smell of air freshener on arrival. The decor is...

This is in an extremely convenient location right near the shops and beach. The rooms are very comfortable bed and extremely clean. While not as modern as some other places, the value this place represents is fantastic. Genevieve is very welcoming and is very helpful with recommendations on where to eat etc. Recommend.

Positives: Although the room is decorated quite "Pink" inside, the room was very comfortable and quite spacious. Comfortable queen sized bed, table and chairs, couch, and a small balcony upon which to relax. The shower was hot and the heating inside the room was good. TV and wifi were adequate. Location was good; short walk to the main part of...

The view from our balcony room is amazing - the entire bay. The room itself is huge. Bed is comfortable and the rooms are clean. It is also right opposite the beach and walking paths. Walk to everywhere from the place. Don't let the decor put you off. I think it is supposed to be 'old world' so the carpet...

Wild and wintery. Staff were very friendly and well informed. Have been there some years ago and really enjoyed the new cold climate dinosaur exhibit. Not sure I would like the isolation myself! This is well worth a visit to see how far we have come with technology since cable communication.

Stayed overnight in this motel. It is in a great position with great views of the ocean from the small balcony and this is what you pay for with the premium prices. Room was spacious but decor was extremely dated and tired. Bedside clock was still set on daylight saving time more than a week after it ended. Bathroom was...

We travelled on a public holiday and this was about the last room available in town. It was sufficiently big with a balcony facing the sea, but the overwhelming smell of artificial air freshener was horrible. The room was basically clean, but the carpet was dusty round the edges and the decor was generally 20 years old, which made the...

The location was superb overlooking the ocean though we were there in the Winter and it may be too busy in the Summer. It is located on the main road. Positives: Friendly owners; warm (though instructions on how to work the heater would be good); on site parking. Negatives: No microwave; tea and coffee poor quality; no heater in the...
