This place is magnificent, perfectly positioned on the hills, the view alone is worth staying here. But there's more to the place - it's host Alan was a pleasure to deal with meeting us on arrival. The cleanliness is outstanding and the little extras like choccies and the homemade soap is cute. It's out of the hustle and bustle of...

Point of View is perfectly positioned to take advantage of the views over Apollo Bay, the harbour, Great Ocean Road and the ocean. Every position in the villa has been architect designed to take advantage of the views....even in the shower. We're only 5 mins by car from the town but as you say, out of the hustle and bustle...

We had a fantastic stay here between Xmas and NY, a typically busy time for beach towns, but one of the best parts was being up in the hills away from the crowds. The view truly is amazing, with the full windows allowing a view from every spot in the room and bathroom. Perfect for a couples trip away, didn't...

We had our villas at Point of View designed by an architect (John Pizzey) to ensure that guests have privacy. Each villa is positioned also to take in the spectacular views of the ocean, Apollo Bay and surrounding hills. You are so close to the town but it's quiet and peaceful in the villa. Hope you enjoyed New Year's Eve...

The views at this place are really impressive, the location is great as it's just five minutes from the shops, but up in the hills with very expansive views of the ocean as well as the green hills. The villa itself is very nicely designed and spacious with floor to ceiling windows that take advantage of the view, it's very...

Point of View prides itself on it's stunning location, facilities and attention to detail. As previous reviews indicate, we have consistently scored 5/5 since the first review in 2006. We spent two nights in one of the gorgeous cottages here. You are close enough to centre of Apollo Bay for a dinner out, but secluded enough to enjoy your privacy. Highlights were the wood fire heater, spa bath and that amazing view!! Would definitely recommend.

Every day there's another amazing view.....rainbows, storm fronts, sunsets, shimmering ocean or twinkling lights of Apollo Bay. We believe we have one of the best locations on The Great Ocean Road. As you say, private but only 5 minutes to town. An ideal hideaway for couples who need some time to relax.

Absolutely beautiful weekend away. Stunning views, very comfortable accommodation. Owner is very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay in the colder months with a warm fire and spa bath overlooking the ocean. I suggest you take lots of groceries as there isn't as much provided compared to other 'self catered' accommodations on the GOR. Overall this is an...

Great to hear you had a lovely stay. It's so cosy at this time of the year with the glow and warmth of the fire. There are 2 supermarkets in town to buy supplies but we do provide fresh milk, a selection of breads, spreads, flavoured teas, coffee and real tea leaves for tea connoisseurs. We also have hot chocolate...

Absolutely loved this place. The views are amazing (you can see the ocean from every window), it's quiet (the cabins are well spaced and I didn't hear another voice all week end) and rooms have everything you could ask for. We put the fire place on, sat back and had a relaxing few days. Alan is great, he came in...

Villa 1 has the wood fire as does Villa 2. They also have the floor level spa. Villas 4 and 5 have the gas log fires and sunken spas which are a bit different. It doesn't matter which villa you are in because they all have uninterrupted views from every location....even the double shower has a view! Unlike some properties...

We decided to go somewhere special to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. And we were not disappointed. It was an escape from the norm. So peaceful. A most magnificent setting. We were enthralled from the very first breathtaking view across the beautiful Apollo Bay.

We absolutely loved our stay. The villa, location, view, and hosts are all wonderful. Lots of windows looking over the valley, town, and water. The wood fireplace was nice. The villa was super clean. Everything was perfect and as advertised.

What a beautiful place to stay. Self contained cabin nestled high on a hillside above the stunning Apollo Bay. The view is amazing and very tranquil. Alan really does look after his incoming guests. He always greets guests on arrival, makes sure the villa is warm and if arriving after dark puts the lights on to make a welcoming setting.
