We arrived around 5pm after booking a room online and we’re a little confused how to check in so we called the number on the office door and was greeted by Jared who is very friendly and helpful and we were able to access a code with a key safe at our room and it was all pretty easy. We stayed in room 6 and as mentioned by everyone in the reviews the rooms are modern and stylish and decorated so beautifully in a minimalist style. I found this motel online as I was searching for modern accommodation in Port Campbell and as other people had mentioned it isn’t that flash on the outside of the buildings but styled beautifully on the inside. I saw a lot of photos of the rooms online and was so looking forward to seeing the interior and I must say that the first impression is so super nice and the bathroom is next level sumptuous with the gorgeous green tiles and modern tap ware and the amazing shower head but that’s where the WOW factor ended for us as the bedroom upstairs in the loft had a double or queen bed ( it felt small ) that didn’t have a bed head and as your head is close to the concrete block wall this seemed odd and as I had seen bed heads in the photos it seemed to feel less cosy and there is also a single bed that was near the balcony door which really took the romantic vibe from the space but the decor and sheets are lovely and it was comfy ( just need to be careful with the stairs if you need to go to the toilet below during the night ) The bedroom only had a single chair and no cupboards or robes to put away or hang your luggage in ( a coat rack could be handy in the lower level to help with hanging items. ) There is a luggage rack downstairs. There is a TV on the lower floor but it’s not easy to use as there was no where that explained how to use it and as it’s worked through a set top box and is not a smart TV so I needed to call the owner & he was super helpful and walked us through the set up over the phone. The lamp in the living room wasn’t user friendly as the button would stay down but everything else was lovely and clean and all of the ammenities where high quality which was very luxe and coffee and plunger was there to use also. The accommodation is super close to all of the restaurants in the Main Street and we grabbed a takeaway pizza from Real Pizza near by and sat out on the balcony listening to the waves which was really enjoyable. I think I had high expectations for this place before I went in and maybe some of the other rooms have the extra touches and the egg chairs but Room 6 is pretty basic but still beautiful and the shower is a real standout!

The Port O Call was beautifully clean, beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Even though the rooms are small they are very well appointed with microwave, cutlery, plates, glasses and even hand sanitiser! Check in was simple, remote and fast. The hotel is in a great position - walking distance to everything. Highly recommended.

The Port O Call was the perfect place to stay with our 3 kids (11, 10 & 6). The kids slept upstairs in 1 x queen bed 1 x single bed while we slept downstairs on the fold out sofa. The room was spacious enough for what we needed for a few nights and it was great that the kids had their own upstairs area. The owners were very friendly and very quick to fulfil any one of our needs. The location was perfect, diagonally opposite a park/skate ramp for the kids, opposite the local hotel which had fabulous food, a very short walk to the shops and beach and walking tracks. We can't wait to come and stay again.

Our family of 5 stayed for a few nights in a family room. It was in the heart of Port Campbell, short walk to the beach and cafes/restaurants. The room had been renovated and the bathroom was modern. There was an upstairs area with a queen bed and a single bed, downstairs had a sofa bed and dining table for 4. 2 kids slept on the sofa bed and 1 in the single bed. Upstairs also had a small balcony. There was a small kitchenette with microwave, toaster and kettle as well as crockery and cutlery, so easy for preparing breakfast or light meals. However it would have been good if a dish cloth and tea towel were provided to make washing dishes easier, particularly as the rooms weren’t given a full daily service due to Covid restrictions. The owner was friendly and available at all times for any queries and to replace towels, tea etc.

Very pleased with the stay at this recently renovated motel. The docor is nice and modern, bed is comfortable, small kitchen has a microwave. Bathroom is spacious, shower has good water pressure. Aircon and TV in the room. Motel is located both near the beach and near all the restaurants. Rooms are not the biggest but spacious enough, with high ceilings. No outside noise could be heard in the room.
Would stay again.

Port’o Call hotel in Port Campbell, Victoria was truly the highlight of our Great Ocean Road trip! Situated just minutes away from the iconic 12 Apostles and other main attractions, its location couldn't have been more convenient. Nestled on the main street of Port Campbell, we found ourselves surrounded by the town's best restaurants, a grocery store, and even a gas station. Our stay was incredibly comfortable – we slept so well, enjoyed refreshing showers, and were greeted by the lovely and polite owner. Without a doubt, we'll be returning to this gem on our next adventure along the Great Ocean Road!

Trying hard to justify the boutique motel claim - nice rooms, friendly helpful staff and comfy beds and bathroom products, but no sound proofing between rooms or vacuuming under the bed and doesn’t meet the standard for the price. We could hear everything the neighbours said. Have stayed in much nicer motels for much less $$ even in Byron Bay another tourist hotspot.

I have to agree with Tony M. When we first saw the King Suite we thought it looked okay but soon realised the bed took up most of the space. We brought bags for a couple of nights and some food in a small car fridge and found the room to be very restrictive (kept tripping over things). For a so-called suite, there were no lounge chairs and I brought in one from the veranda, which was uncomfortable after watching television on it for a while. Worst of all, the sheets had a bad smell. Obviously they had been dried in a very old and smelly commercial dryer. We booked and paid for two nights but left after the first one. The motel is vastly overpriced for what is on offer.

We really enjoyed our 2 nights in the King suite. This is an older motel that has been recently renovated inside with many well-thought-out touches. Lovely to have a deluxe bathroom in a motel. Having a terrace adjoining the garden made all the difference. The King suite is at one end, so its terrace area is the most private.

The location is excellent - at the quieter end of the small main street but still an easy walk to cafes, restaurants and the beautiful Port Campbell beach.

We would definitely stay again.

We stayed there for a night in Unit 7. The place is so cozy and beautiful and just a 3 minute walk to the beach. The self check in was absolutely seamless, and although you may not see any staff around, they are just a call away on the phone.

We absolutely adored our unit so much that I could make that my holiday home. The place feels nice and cozy and could easily accomodate upto 4 people. The unit is self sufficient, clean and well maintained.

Thank you Sofia, Jarryd and the entire team at Port O Call for the lovely stay we had, we shall definitely be coming back soon and recommending the place to our family and friends.
