Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband enjoyed his simple soup. My nachos were almost inedible. The chips were drowned in a ‘salsa’ that tasted like watery tomato paste with a can of beans added. My son also said his burger was very average.

Had a meal at the hotel, kitchen had run out of mash so loaded up our plates with chips ( and also onion rings for hubby! ) instead of telling us ( would have gone elsewhere)I realise costs are high but their prices (don't mind if it's eatable) were ridiculous! Lamb chops were so tough. Won't be staying or eating there again!

International bar staff were excellent and the beer was good. Unfortunately that is the end of the positives. Food was the worst meal out we’ve had for years. Lamb cutlets raw, unrendered and disgusting, no chainsaw available to cut. Barramundi was tasteless, unseasoned, watery fish plonked on a handful of cold chips. Pity Pemberton doesn’t have a McDonalds as it would be considered fine dining compared to this. Hopefully it was just a bad night they were having.

Went for dinner as only place doing food. Hard to mess up pub food but they did it. Nachos with a horrible sickly sweet sauce virtually inedible, 2 soggy tasteless burgers + cold chips .add on 2 pints and we hit $90 for pretty nasty evening. Topped off by a horrible live “musician “ with intrusively loud amplified guitar made for an below ordinary dinner. Beer was fine and didn’t use accomodation

Hotel is vintage 70s but not in a good way. Orange and brown dominate and while the king size bed was wonderfully comfortable, the bathroom fan and the aircon were loud! No answer to call for management at 10.30pm, when a raging raving guest in nearby room was verbally abusing his partner. Was told next day “new phones playing up”. Did not result in pleasant or safe-feeling stay. Breakfast tedious; did not eat dinner there. Thinnest toilet paper ever! Will not recommend.

Nice hotel room. Massively overpriced restaurant offering sub-standard fare. $49.00 for a poorly prepared lump of meat, hastily cooked accompanied by under-cooked chips. Pepper sauce successfully masked the presentation. Nothing else on the plate. Ghastly!

Great location and the room was very good value. It is like a classic country hotel. You do have stairs so this might be an issue. Room area good size. I stayed in the spa suite so that was very nice. Food was also nice at the restaurant but some other options around the area, quite hotel which was great too

We enjoyed a delicious meal, lamb roast of the day and Moroccan lamb cutlets washed down with perfectly chilled cider and stout. Very attentive and friendly staff members who all went that extra step to ensure we had an enjoyable evening. Highly recommended. We will certainly be telling everyone that this is a place to enjoy the good things in life - good food, good company and a cold drink.
