Having walked part of the Cotswold Way on bleak conditions we were recommended the Frocester George for a good pub meal. It was the perfect place to warm up next to the fire, relax, and dry out after a long walk. The menu had a good variety of options and the children's menu provided reasonably healthy choices. We had liver,...

Fantastic Sunday lunch...one of the best I've ever had! Food was local and delicious. Venue is very nice and immaculate. If I would mention any down side it was very echoey and noisey, there was a large table and I found it hard to chat with our guests (my issue more than theirs). Food was plentiful and great value.

Three of us chose the duck breast served with black pudding and red cabbage and choice of potato /vegetables, no boring food here,...

We happened upon the Frocester after being let down by the b&b we had booked in advance. We turned up on the evening of Thursday 29 December and to our great relief, they had one room remaining, the Junior Suite. At £180 a night, it was considerably more expensive than the b&b we were supposed to be staying at, but...

Four of us visited Sunday the 18th, a warm welcome awaited and the fire was lit. We had roast beef, roast turkey, pheasant and a gammon egg and chips, all lovely. A nice pint of Rev James to wash it down too. The George has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and I think we nearly managed to clear our plates!...
