My partner and I enjoyed the most perfect stay with Melanie and her family at Hotel Monzabon in March. We were instantly felt at home after a warm welcome and shown to our room which was immaculately clean and very comfortable. I would advise everyone to eat at the hotel in the evening, the food exceeded our expectations night after night. There were so many highlights but the soups really blew us away, it takes serious skill to pack in so much flavour. Tobias, the in house sommelier, was patient and very helpful. Every member of of staff we came into contact with in the hotel was an absolute delight. There are two ski lifts not even a minutes walk from the hotel, hard to imagine a better location. What a hotel! We wouldn't of changed a thing.

My family and I, and also our staff, would like to thank you very much for this. This is how a holiday should be. Feeling comfortable and at home from the beginning. Thank you very much also for the words of praise about our kitchen. We are also very proud of our "kitchen rockers". They do a great job. Our chef is my brother and he puts a lot of emphasis on regional and organic ingredients. You can taste it. Our son Tobias is also our graduate sommelier. His passion is wine and all our guests feel it. I am always very happy when guests appreciate it. Fortunately, we are still a family business where our staff also belong and our guests still feel our hospitality and passion. Oh yes, the location is perfet. Our stay at the Hotel Jagdhaus Monzabon beyond exceeded our expectations. The hotel was immaculate, the staff was incredible and the views were to die for. We stayed for 5 days in mid-February and wouldn’t change a thing. We were greeted on our arrival by the owner Melanie who was perhaps the nicest person I’ve ever met. Then we checked in to our room with a view that can only be compared to that of a postcard. An incredible breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack are all included in your stay and I would absolutely recommend the half board to have your dinners at the hotel as well. The in house chef is a genius and the four-five course meal was incredible every night. (PS - ALWAYS have the soup. Day or night the soup was the best I’ve ever had. Never skip the soup.) Located right at the bottom of one of the ski runs in Lech, the locker room at Monzabon was a total of 15 steps (we counted) to the 2 and 4 persons gondolas to start your day with. The staff at Monzabon were so helpful, personable and kind at every meal or in the hallway and would go above and beyond to help with any question or request you could possible have. Tobias, the in house sommelier was always around to suggest a wine pairing, curate a cocktail and see that everything was taken care of. Melanie checked in on a daily basis as if we were a part of her family to make sure we had everything we needed and our trip was all we thought it would be. If you’re planning a winter vacation (skiing, snowboarding, winter hiking or relaxing) the Hotel Jagdhaus Monzabon in Lech is the place to go. There are shops and restaurants all within meters of their front door but you truly will have everything you need right in the hotel. Thank you to Melanie, Wilfried, Tobias, Katarina, and the rest of the staff at Monzabon for making our first trip to Austria more memorable than we thought it could be. Fantastic in every way - small, authentic, family run hotel with outstanding service and impeccable attention to detail. Great location beside the ski lift. Gourmet 5 course yet reasonably priced dinners. Relaxing pool and sauna area for after skiing. Highly recommend for couples and families.

13 days of skiing relaxation. Top location with skiing to the door; lifts and gondola close by. Family Schneider were great as were all the hotel staff. Beautiful traditional Austrian hotel with excellent food and facilities. Would recommend to all. Hans: Australia.

Perfect position and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts cater for everyone and on two occasions when we had dinner, it was very good. Staff and service were top drawer, always obliging and there is a happy air about the place. The owners are hands on and always around.

The hotel is in a prominent position second to none. This family run business leaves nothing to want for. Lovely large rooms well equipped with excellent facilities, pool and spa. Food was excellent with so many alternatives you wish you could graze all day. The staff we very attentive and looked after us without fault. We were there for a ski week, the main lifts within 100 metres with the best apres ski bars within the same distance. I don’t think anyone would find any faults with the Monzabon experience !

Our family all enjoyed our stay at Jagdhaus Monzabon very much from our arrival to departure we were all made to feel very, very welcome by Melanie, Wilfried & Tobias. The location is outstanding in the heart of Lech and Bjorn always looked after us before dinner as did Heidrich in the restaurant. I am sure we will return.

Staying at this hotel was great for several reasons- it is ski-in/ski-out to the lifts and runs, it is in the centre of “downtown” Lech (although a small town) so shops and restaurants are all close by, in-house dinners were all delicious and varied over the course of our week-long visit, together with great wines suggested by their sommelier, and to top it off the owners, who operate the hotel, are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very comfortable. We didn’t try the pool or spa but both areas looked clean and well-cared for. We would definitely stay here on a future trip to Lech.

This was second stay and our first as a couple and it was in a word - perfect! We loved the personal, family feel, the amazing breakfasts and all the wonderful facilities (spa, pool, gym). The location is perfect - next door to ski hire and we ski'd back to the locker room every day after skiing. We will be back!

Hotel Monzabon is one of the best, cosy and convenient Hotels you can stay in Lech. It is virtually 2 minutes walking distance away from the Schlegelkopf Bahn chair lift directly going up to Oberlech. Virtually like a ski in ski out hotel located right at the heart of the beautiful Lech town. We stayed with my wife for a week at this hotel first time and were extremely happy with our choice. We have chosen and booked this hotel just reading reviews on the web and trip advisor. All said and written were good and so perfectly true. Hosts are very friendly and welcoming that make you feel at home the moment you step in. All of the staff are very polite and friendly. Rooms are decorated in traditional Austrian style, very clean and comfortable. Choice at Breakfasts are endless and you will be spoiled during your stay. Dinner is optional which you can choose and notify to take at breakfast time. Recommend that you choose to take it. None other option outside would beat Hotel Monzabon's chef's stipendous cooking.
