Very nice hotel !
The staff is very very kind and tries to help in every way possible.
Good level of cleanliness.
All the staff is very strict about the instructions regarding the Covid. At the reception, in the rooms, the elevators, in the dining room and in the other places in the hotel.
Breakfast is good and satisfying but not varied enough (especially after a few days at the hotel).
The location is on a main avenue and the transportation is good and efficient, noisy during most hours of the day. To the city center requires a bus and takes about 20 minutes.
The room was big, clean and the bed very comfortable.
The price was part of a deal, so I can not give any opinion on this issue.

Let me start off by saying everybody at the hotel was very kind and very helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel is dated and needs renovations. When I first checked into my first room, I noticed right away that the room has seen better days (and it also had cigarette burns in the couch and headboard). To make matter MUCH worse…later that night, I had cockroach’s in my bathroom!!! It was close to 2am, but I insisted that I was moved right away (and they did move my room). The best room was smaller, but I didn’t have any roaches. I did have some ants. There were never a tremendous amount of ants…but everyday I would find ants crawling up the drapes, on my nightstand, on the desk.

I went to the breakfast every morning. Unfortunately, it was a common thing for them to run out of clean plates or clean glasses. I would have to ask for clean plates and it would take a very long time before they would ever arrive. They would also frequently run out of food (I.e. eggs). Once they run out - they don’t replace them. I thought that was very odd - but it is what it is.

Again, very nice people - however I would stay somewhere else next time. There is a Hyatt right across the street and also the Intercontinental. I didn’t stay in either one of those properties…but I would imagine them being much better.

We were staying for 2 days in that hotel and the overall experience was nice. The room and the bathroom was comfortable and clean. Air conditioning was efficient and silent.
Lobby has a modern and happy decoration. I also liked the external building design.
The breakfast room is also comfortable and the breakfast was good. Of course it was somehow limited, but that's due to the covid19 measures they had to take, since the buffet was not accessible to the clients.
They also follow the covid19 guidelines instructed from the state.
Finally it is located in a place that is near to the Athens centre, Piraeus, etc. and it's easy to reach many places with the car.

We stayed here as for a long weekend for my fiancé’s birthday. When we arrived we were given a room upgrade. We were on the 6th floor with a veranda where we could see the Acropolis which looked beautiful at night when it was all lit up. The bed was large and comfy, the bathroom was great and the shower was a really big area. The room was very modern and during the current COVID-19 situation we found it all to be very clean. Our room wasn’t cleaned through the day but the option was there to ask for clean towels and linens should we need them. The hotel it’s self is beautiful and very stylish and quirky. The staff were very friendly and helpful and always greeted us whenever you were leaving or returning. The hotel itself is on a busy road but we never felt it a problem. We left the windows open in the veranda and closed the sliding door to our room and we didn’t hear the traffic at all. It’s slightly out of the centre but with a 15-20 min walk you can get to Acropolis and a beautiful place called Plaka, here we found some great restaurants and little gift shops. In one day we managed to visit Acropolis, Acropolis museum and Temple of Olympian Zeus. The other side of Plaka is another lovely place called Monestiraki which had some nice restaurants and a flea market. The walk from the hotel to Plaka looked run down but we loved this after all it is a very old city and adds character to the place. Lots of coffee shops on the way too. We would definitely reccomend staying at Athenaeum Grand Hotel and if ever we visit Athens again, this hotel would be our first choice. Thank you to everyone there for making our stay pleasurable.

Upon arrival at the Athenaeum Grand Hotel we Immediately got a very warm welcome from the receptionist and the porter Nikos and Tryfon. That was very nice.

Me and my girlfriend got some complimentary drinks, the personnel helped us carry the heavy luggage upstairs & when we got to our room we were even more stunned! It looked even better than in the pictures. The bed is so comfortable, wow. And the bathroom is super clean. 10/10 would recommend!!

We were definitely disappointed with this hotel. It was marked a 4* so we definitely had some expectations going in, which was maybe the problem. When we arrived I asked to be in a higher room (since I read other reviews saying it was quite noisy) and the front desk person seemed very annoyed. He moved us to the 4th floor (which did not help the noise) On their website they state the rooms are soundproof, which they definitely are not. It was a little late when we arrived so I was hoping there would be a snack in the minibar - it was empty. There was no coffee in the room (again, online states espresso machine), no bathrobes as stated and no USB ports as stated. We were going to have breakfast at the hotel the first morning, only to find out it was 20€ per person…crazy! We ended up finding an amazing corner store where the owner made us the best coffee and served us local Greek delicacies (we had 2 coffees, rice pudding, pastries, water, juice and rice cakes) for 13€ total (Strogkonof 3, 117 45 Athens - called Gaia and the owner is Stathi…you won’t be disappointed). Long story short….stay somewhere else!!!

Only reason I didn’t mark it a one is the location was good.

Avoid this hotel. It is cheap, full of people with a racial attitude and located in a very very seedy location with Strip Bars on both sides. Hotel staff is very rude and uncooperative. Booked a room with double bed but got a room with two single beds joined together. Not possible for two people and child to sleep. Spent two sleepless nights and one more tonight. And hotel staff says nothing can be done. The worst in Athens. And all Indians booking through ASIT tours, ask your tour agent in India, they are the most dishonest and godless people on this planet. Avoid, avoid avoid, ASIT and Athenaeum Grand

I stayed at this hotel for the last day of my birthday getaway to Greece. First, this hotel is located next to a gentlemen club. The room I stayed in 607 smelled of cigarettes and had a musty odor. The room was extremely hot and uncomfortable. The bathroom tows were not white but a dingy gray. The furniture on the patio was stained and dirty. I was told that this hotel was only four years old but it looked older and not maintained. I reported these issues to the front desk and they were unresolved. I asked for a taxi to be called so we could visit the Acropolis and was told it was easier to walk down the street and cross the busy road. Never again. If this is what Athens has to offer, I will kindly decline.

Stayed for the Athens Marathon. great views of the acropolis, good room, good breakfast, the people
at the reception very very kind.
But my husband left his beats or earphones in the room to have dinner that night and by the time we came back they were gone. It’s terrible to trust that your belongings are safe in your room and come back to find you were robbed. Completely changes your perspective of the hotel, even if everything else was fine.

Got a room facing the main avenue outside, noise penetrates the windows, not good.
The bathroom was really smelling bad...don't know why. The exercise room upstairs looks like my garage...Location is tricky, since everytime you need to go to the other side, you need to take an underpass to cross. My friend was robbed of his brand new iPhone just outside the hotel. But, I must say, the staff is wonderful and trying their best to make the stay pleasant.

I actually rented a car. It was cheap and the hotel provides free parking (underground garage). Having a car is good to visit the beaches area.

Other than the name outside you would not know it was a strip club. It is a prime location with many things in walking distance. We had 14 of us. My nieces and nephews (in their 30’s and 30’s) even went in the one to the right and I did not realize there was another on the left. You can walk to the Acropolis and the shopping area, not being a shopper I forget what this area was called. If you go during the prime season the tour buses stop out front. We went at Thanksgiving so the city sightseeing buses were not regularly by the hotel. There is subway and regular bus stops nearby. The staff there was very helpful and the “handi” smart phone is great. You can make local and international calls at no cost to you. It is also a very lovely place.

We used a airport transport service. I found it online. You might contact the hotel as they may offer a pickup now. They do have a van.
