Most charming and restored Villa "hotel" dating back to 16th century. The original architectural features, period artifacts, décor and courtyard gardens give this venue it's perfect charm. Their breakfast entrees are amazing in that all of the fares are homemade, including the creamy and delicious yogurts. The meats and cheeses are locally made and the fruit jams are incredible. Our...

Walking the cobbled streets of Bevagna (cars are not allowed into town after certain hours), we couldn't contain our excitement as we had heard a lot about L'orto Degli Angeli. We were warmly greeted and escorted to our suite La Casa Maggiore. The place was amazing - a sprawling bedroom with an actual fireplace, a well appointed living room and...

This hotel is PERFECT if you like peace and quiet comfort. We returned for a weekend after discovering the utterly amazing restaurant this summer and came back feeling as if we had been on holiday for at least a week as it was so relaxing. The delightful staff even arranged a massage for me at short notice. We couldn't recommend...

Bevagna is a very charming town in Umbria and the historic L'Orto degli Angeli is in the heart of it. The rooms are large with high ceilings and well appointed with antique furnishings. We were on the second (or first depending on where you are from) floor and there was a large beautifully appointed salon down the hall where we...

This is a unique hotel created from 2 palazzos with a beautiful enclosed courtyard joining them. This is filled with beautiful scented roses and jasmine growing over a pergola which is a lovely place to sit. Every room/ suite is different and the public rooms are both spacious and beautiful. It does leave you feeling as if you are living...

This hotel has all the charm of a 17th century villa, and has so much potential to be so much more than it is! The rooms are large. We had a 2 room suite. The bathroom is enormous. The common rooms are lovely, and the staff is quite accommodating. They only serve breakfast, but were able to serve us tea...

This is a special place; from service to breakfast, public spaces, Indian garden, unique rooms, small details here and there... This constitutes a stunning stay by all means. You will feel like you,re part of the powerful Italian families that once ruled the region. Highly recommended!

I was pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere: a family residence from the 17th century, kept very much the same as it was when lived in by the family. It was like walking back in time! The staff was extremely friendly.

There were very few other guests at the hotel when we there, giving us a lovely, peaceful stay in the beautiful old building. They also upgraded us to a wonderful suite, so we had a big sitting room with views across the garden, a large bathroom area, and an enormous, powerful shower. The private garden was a lovely place to...

We stopped in Bevagna one night on a short cycling trip through Umbria and were fortunate to stay in this lovely hotel. We felt like we had stepped into a palazzo from times past, though with the amenities of the present. Our room was lovely and spacious with a great view. Service was very pleasant, and the breakfast was the...

“Ask for a room far from the church ( the bell makes lot of noise very early in the morning) There are two houses. The main one it's like a palace, the rooms are more like an old palace, the other one is more country side, there are rooms with fireplace, more rustic.”
