We booked to celebrate our birthdays with a special dinner. However, we felt let down. I chose the special from the board, Lamb Rogan Josh. I was informed there was no Naan bread so would garlic bread be OK. Yes, but there was also no chutney! It was tasty but no special trimmings, something you could just take out of... More

We were quite close to 12.00 and perhaps the first customers. We received a warm welcome and choice of seating. They don't do a reduced lunch-time or snack menu but there is a reasonable choice on the main menu. I had the Hunters Chicken and my wife Scampi and Chips. I was pleased to overhear that when another table later... More

We called in for lunch which we enjoyed but the choice for vegetarians was small. I had a vegetarian lasagne and my wife had scampi fortunately we eat fish. Having said that the meals were well cooked and very tasty. The pub itself is well decorated and clean and there were some good real ales on tap.

A small inn, tucked away in the countryside, with excellent food. The best Tomato Soup ever, and the Steak and Ale Pie was delicious - I could go on, but you will not be disappointed with the menu. The beds were clean and comfortable, but the access is up steep stairs with narrow treads, and (if you are in the... More

The room was lovely with coffee/tea facilities and a good bathroom. We had B&B and the breakfasts were ample and tasty. We also had dinners there and they too were great. The service was fabulous and the staff could not have done more to help us.. The only issue was WiFi reception which was not the hotels fault, it is just... More

Visited mid week for an evening meal. Only one vegetarian choice so asked if they could do anything else and was told no! The first three deserts I choose were unavailable so pity they didn't take them off the board! All very uninspiring really, wouldn't return.

Terrible, terrible, terrible We visited here on back of reviews -what a mistake the worst attitude of anyone dealing with public we have encountered for a long time. Our crime we complained about a burger that tasted really bad, like the meat was off asked the waitress if it could be taken off the bill as it was clear that... More

Visited here for a meal last Friday 8th July in the evening. The meal was superb - good honest food cooked well. I shared the meat platter with my husband - lovely beetroot bread. I had the chicken, leek and ham pie with vegetables. It is easy to cook but it takes skill to cook well. The pie was delicious... More

Visited this pub on a Tuesday evening as was very surprised at how busy the place was for food. Cosy old fashioned establishment and not too much of a menu but the food was presented very nicely and tasted good.
