We stay here as a group of three family's, usually once a year and this works really well for us. The cabins are separated enough for you to have some privacy, but close enough for you to still be there as a group.

We had a lovely stay at these cabins. The cabins are situated in woodland and are far enough away from each other that you don't hear any noise from the neighbors but if like us you have relatives in one of the other cabins they are close enough to wander over. The washing machine came in handy for us and... More

We stayed in Cypress Cottage on a Thursday/Friday in September. There were two large bedrooms, decent sized lounge room and kitchen with all the basics (but no oven). There is also a small verandah with a Weber BBQ. We had a great time, and our dog had a ball exploring the property. We put the fire on both nights and... More

Thank you very much for this positive review. There isn't an oven but guests have used the Weber BBQ very successfully to cook roasts. Yes, the environment around the cottages is very peaceful and it is nice just to listen to all the bird calls and guests have mentioned recently how interesting it is to watch the blue wrens. We... Stayed here for a weekend with another couple. The cottage is basic, no oven, small verandah and compact inside. If you didnt plan on spending much time there but using it as a base to see Mudgee I would say you would be comfortable. Had TV and air conditioning plus fire for the winter time if you needed it. The... More

Thank you for your comments. The cottages were situated on the property in areas that took full advantage of the landscape and vista and the cottages needed to be compact to fit in with the environment. Of course one advantage of this design is that the fully insulated cottages are very cosy in winter. Generally the land is on a... More

We booked all 3 Kirima cottages for a wedding we were going to. We paid our deposit but had to cancel our booking. Mike and Maggie made everything so easy from first email and date confirmation through to full refund. I wouldn't hesitate booking with them again. Hope we get the opportunity to stay with them one day.

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. They're basic enough with no oven and no flushing toilet but these weren't an issue in the slightest. Ideally located about 5 minutes drive from the town and close to the vineyards. We loved the peace and waking up to the birds singing in the morning, visting the vineyards... More

A group of 4 couples travelled from Sydney to Mugdee for Easter and found Kirima Cottages ideal. They were far enough out of the town to give a real feeling of wilderness living yet it was pretty easy to book an 8 seater taxi into the town to enjoy all Mudgee has to offer. The cottages are well equipped, warm... More

My sister and I took our husbands and puppy to stay at Stringybark and Cypress cottages. They were close to town but in a very private bushy area. Everything was great and they certainly are very comfortable and spacious. Our puppy really enjoyed the freedom to run around and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. I highly recommend a visit.

We wanted to do a bit of wine tasting in Mudgee and Kirima Cottages offered just what we were looking for - a quiet cottage with a log fire which is close enough to some wineries and surrounded by nature. The rooms were clean, the owners friendly and the facilities were great - a good small kitchen and a BBQ... More

Our well traveled group of eight booked two cabins for a wine tasting weekend. Close to wineries and town it was perfect for BBQ dinners and enjoying our wines. Didnt see much wildlife but with a 7 month old puppy maybe he scared them off.
