This second rate motel sells itself as a 4 star resort. It isn't. Sad, run down rooms in a structure that reminded me of a 1980s conference centre that has never been updated. Checking in on a hot afternoon, the air conditioner was incapable of cooling the room at all. It also made a noise like a large airplane taking... More

We enjoyed our stay at Parklands Resort this week, which included a great cooked breakfast. We found the staff to be most obliging and they went out of their way tot help us. It is located only a short drive from the heart of town.

Spacious room, well furnished with table, dining chairs, comfortable chairs and lounge. Very comfortable bed without unnecessary quilt, extra cushions, etc. Well appointed bathroom, adequate crockery, good quality coffee, tea and fresh quality biscuits each day. Quiet Aircon, Pay TV. Back door opens to covered veranda with view over pool, large BBQ area, stream and open country. Comfortable lounge area... More

Omg. This could be a beautiful motel but no. When we nearly drove into our room, we stopped and walked in. The stench was out of control. We thought it was the toilet cleaner but no when further entering it smelt like a hospital deodoriser gone bad. We went to another room (after reception said we should have asked in... More

When it first opened, Parklands would have been fabulous, sadly though that time has past, without the rates reflecting that. It has gorgeous gardens, especially the magnificent roses which would be great for spring wedding photos and I am sure this is the prime market for the hotel. Rates are about $200 per room per night for weekends - expensive... More

We stayed for one night, greeted politely by the reception staff, picked up the key and went to our ground level room. The gardens are beautiful, full of roses and a lake and is very quiet and peaceful. We slept well, even though it is a large motel, you don't really hear anything. We went to the restaurant for breakfast,... More

So i visited this hotel on the weekend of the 5th & I was a little disappointed. You defiantly couldn't blame the front desk they were attentive & happy but it started off when we had to wait for our rooms to be cleaned which took honestly an hour and a half after check in time. After finally getting into... More

The Parklands resort is a fabulous location for conferences and events. I have never been disappointed by the service or the catering these guys put on. It is set in a beautiful location just on the outskirts of town with a lovely water feature and rolling lawns and gardens. The rooms are getting a little dated but do provide all... More

Three people stated at Parklands for one night for "a day on the green" concert. Reception staff are pleasant, the location was ok it's about a 2klm drive into the town a taxi ride cost about $10. I do have a negative about Parklands - re the linen in particular to the bed sheets, our room was a configuration of... More

Hi Kathy, I was the person spoken to about the mark on the sheet and I certainly apologised for the incident and said I would follow up on the issue, which I did, the sheet had been put aside in the laundry and was a burn mark and should have been taken out of circulation and has been now. I... More
