Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Comfortable but in need of an update. Please note Private bathroom is NOT en-suite and it does not have a shower. Good value room and food. Social distancing OK. Easy to park. Set just off main road but we did not hear road noise even with the window open

We were sad when the old Wolfe closed, having been regular customers before Covid struck. We revisited just before Christmas, soon after the Inn reopened and had a lovely lunch. The refurbishment is great - it hasn't spoiled the atmosphere but it's light and bright and up to date. The food was really good and of a very high standard' two of us had the ploughman's lunch, which was definitely a cut above the usual. The staff were keen to have feedback but the only thing we could think of was that it might be good to have some lighter dishes on the lunch menu too, as the meals were all quite substantial. (We noticed some fabulous starters on the dinner menu, many of which could provide a great light lunch so the menu wouldn't need to change much). We are definitely going back and wish the new owners every success.

Faultless

The food was stunning, staff very accommodating & friendly, topped with a lovely atmosphere.

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The new refurbishments are extremely tasteful whilst retaining the warmth and character of an old pub.

We will be regular visitors from now on & have highly recommended to friends and family.

Booked via hotels.com. Email notes that there was no manned reception. Arrived at 5.15pm after work and no one in the pub, was able to enter but all lights switched off and a couple waiting outside who also had no luck checking in. Called the phone number and could hear the photo ring but no one picking up.

Decided to leave and check in after dinner.

Came back at 9pm- pub in as open but the young guy who was checking me in seemed uncertain, asked to wait and offered a gin and tonic. Turned out the room was double booked. After turfing the other booking out. Headed up to the room.

The room was called The Moat. The interior is rustic and nice. No toilet as this room has a detached toilet almost opposite the door.
Room itself was good size with coffee making facilities and also a small fridge which had to be switched off as too noise.Issues with noise in the morning from driving cars on the main road A40.

The bath room was large but had no shower only a bath which wasn’t great. There was no key to lock from the outside so technically although the private bathroom for The Moat room, anyone could use it.

Breakfast was ok- had the usual cereal , juices.
Filtered coffee was terrible . Sausage and scrambled eggs wasn’t too my liking so had baked beans, fried egg and hash browns which was average.

Service was ok except for issues trying to check in and on checking in.
Easy access to Haverfordwest and to Fishguard. Food -
Would suggest the Wolfcastle Hotel, a 7 mins walk up.

The room was OK but the fittings in our room needed some updating and maintenance. The mirror light didn't work and the toilet seat was sliding off sideways. We booked two nights but only stayed one as the weather was awful and we hadn't planned on spending alot of time in the hotel. The breakfast wasn't bad, if you wanted a cooked breakfast, a good choice of full breakfast or eggs on toast etc. The cold breakfast options were very limited.

I was very disappointed when I visited for Sunday lunch. It's one of the most expensive places which wasn't a surprise with the reputation it has. There were only two of us eating and we had to wait over an hour for our meal and when it did arrive it was cold and not a single bit of green vegetable included.
I would have sent it back but after waiting so unexpectedly long I didn't have the time.

The Wolfe was bought by new owners in 2021 and is now a fantastic place to eat. The decor is now bright and fresh. We’ve been several times and the food is consistently good, the Cajun chicken pasta and their roast were particular highlights. The staff are efficient and really friendly, creating a lovely atmosphere

Whilst enjoying a week in Pembrokeshire we met up with friends to have a Sunday lunch at the Wolfe Inn. Knowing that it was under new management we hoped that it would be as good as our last visit in 2020. We weren’t disappointed ! The food was great and the staff were efficient and friendly. Wish we had somewhere as good where we live. Couldn’t fault a thing other than we were a bit surprised not to have an extensive choice of wine or a wine list. The food, however, was exceptional.

Fantastic food excellent succulent Hake with an amazing sauce. Steak melt in your mouth cooked to perfection. Along with lovely atmosphere and attentive knowledgeable staff. Definitely worth the visit. Good choice of wine, happy to adapt the menu is necessary. We could not find fault. Thanks to our waitress Tia so friendly

I regret I cannot tell you the young man's name. It is several months since we just stopped for a bar lunch and were served by a charming young lady. The Wolfe seemed to have a new lease of life then and the good work is obviously continuing.
