Had an amazing night at Merecumbe Hotel. We enjoyed the fire pit on the night of arrival and a relaxing beach time the next morning. The food was splendid, drinks fresh and refreshing, and desserts, ice creams in particular, were on point. We were especially impressed with the attentiveness of the staff and their accommodation to our needs and requests....

The place was really peaceful (few rooms) and beautiful. The bungalows were lovely: bed comfortable, shower outside and sofa outside too. A mosquito net protects the bedroom. Futhermore, the hotel provide card games, board games. You can play football and beach-volley. The restaurant is really good, there is something for everyone: meet, salads, fish, cocktails etc But there are lots...

Located about 20 minutes nearby Tayrona park, Merecumbe hotel is a high range and secluded peaceful retreat. Rooms are beautifully decorated individual thatched houses. Food is prepared on site, organic, fresh and gorgeous. Good variety of food: meat, fish, lots of veggies. Breakfast is excellent as well. Just make sure to order well in advance. On the downside, the sea...

One of the best hotel experiences in our recent trips, wonderful place, by a spendid beach, extremely nice personnel, great food and well located for trekking in the Tayrona Park. Each room is a typical local cabin with high luxury finishing, bathroom is located outside but nicely isolated, so you fell being in the jungle while having a shower. Great...

Merecumbe is about 90mins from Santa Marta and tucked away off the main road between villages so is fairly isolated. We stayed in Tortuga which accommodated 3 adults and 3 children comfortably. The echohabs are well designed, simple and elegant. There are celling fans that kept us cool enough. The outside shower is fantastic (even if cold water takes some...

The huts were wonderful as were the sounds of a symphony of birds combined with the gentle sound of the ocean. Staff were excellent as well as local food. You need to know that there is no a/c and it feels a little sticky. Also there is no hot water for showers...still a great experience. Very harmonious with lovely natural...

Neque, our clean attractive thatched roof white-washed octagonal casita was elegantly decorated in modern minimalist style with a firm king size bed, tree-trunk nightstands, low table and chairs, an indoor hammock, wooden bench, large closet with electronic safe and a ceiling fan. The attractive open air bathroom features a cool water shower, sink and toilet alcove with luxurious Occitane soap...

This is a special place to stay for a few days. The location and setting are beautiful. It has only 12 or so huts. The design, huts, everything is special as in natural and integrated with nature. It is calming and relaxing. The cold water in shower is fine given the weather. Didn't mind it but I think more than...

Beautiful and sparklingly clean rustic rooms are mosquito-proofed with fine mesh under the eves, in the doors and "window" openings. Food is freshly prepared for every order and is excellent. I suggest you take wines; no corkage and the staff look after them well. For a few days retreat from the rest of civilisation, this is your own slice of...

Very nice place and very kind people. Good cooking. Great room but no mosquito net, a small and non expensive investment. A nice place in a beautiful nature, ideal to rest after trekking in Tayrona Park. Isabelle et Guy
