Amenities good for self catering and families. However in need of repair and maintenance. My bedroom had a broken wardrobe door, no bulb in the bedside lamp and no chair. Not good enough for the price paid. Pleasant owner who provided a good evening meal.

Sunday is still a day of rest in this part of Scotland so finding somewhere open for a light lunch is next to impossible. We were greeted by the owner who had...

A comfortable interesting place to stay on the north coast of the Isle of Lewis. The Decca is a guest house/B&B/cafe in Lionel just down the road from the Port of Ness. We are fans of the author Peter May and many of the scenes from his books are set in Ness. There are a few options for accommodation in...

Wow ... what an interesting place! Where to start... OK - some of the comments below if applied to pretty much any mainland UK hotel/guest house might be seen as negatives, but in this remote corner of Lewis they were most definitely positives! We arrived and were met by Louise who was very smiley and chatty. We were shown to...

You feel like part of the family staying here. Louise, Pete and Siobhan are very friendly and helpful.had a nice room with a whirlpool bath and separate shower. Some may be a little uneasy as there is no lock on the door but we did not find it a problem. Really enjoyed the dinner on our 2 nights stay and...

Staying at the Decca B and B was a wonderful experience. The hosts, Pete and Louise, are extremely welcoming, offering us tea and delicious gluten free home made cake on arrival, having clearly understood our dietary needs. Evening meals are an option and Louise is an outstanding cook - home made (gluten free option) bread and innovative puddings! The portions...
