We loved this place so much! We stayed for 2 nights and we had the feeling to be at home with a lot of care and attention. John and Jacquie are faboulous hosts, and the house itself is very nice. It is sometimes difficult to explain, but we really felt that there was something special that made us feel simply...

We stayed at Mahitahi for one night and wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms are beautifully appointed with every luxury you could want and John and Jacqui are very obliging hosts. Dinner was superb and with only four days notice Jacqui had managed to provide gluten and dairy free options for me - even for nibbles for drinks...

My wife and I stayed at the lodge for one night in March 2017. Mahitahi was an excellent choice of a place to stay. Our hosts were fantastic and truly made us feel welcome. We would return in a heartbeat. A big thank you to Mahitahi!

Very convenient location as a stopover between Queenstown and the Glaciers - nice clean and comfortable rooms and made to feel welcome - beautiful walk across the road down to a wild beach area - dinner was delicious.

Our hosts John & Jackie were so kind and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable during our stay. John cooked wonderful breakfasts & Jackie made the most delicious meal with fish John had caught fresh. They also were very helpful with tips for the area and our drive as we continued on. John even drove us...

Wonderful hosts, terrific dinner, nice room. Somewhat expensive, both for the room and dinner. There is nothing in the vicinity in terms of other lodging or restaurants. If the price doesn't bother you, it is nice.

Mahitahi Lodge is a very pleasant B&B with comfortable rooms. It is located on the remote westcoast and therefor Jacqui and John offer also dinner. Jacqui is a great cook and John is an attentive host. The lovely cooked breakfast in the morning is prepared by John. Mahitahi Lodge is conveniently situated to visit the Fox Glacier.
