What a beautiful location, we were on the verandah overlooking the ocean. We had a dozen oysters and they were delicious. Our main meals were divine, I can recommend the squid. Great wine choices and the staff were the best I have come across in our 2 week visit to New Zealand. Thanks for a lovely Sunday afternoon.

We stayed 2 nights at this wonderful, special inn, and we were delighted with absolutely everything. The break started off by being picked up at the ferry terminal, then brought to stylish rooms at the back of the inn. The professional attention and service came into action when I unfortunately I had a surprise health issue (lasting only one day)....

Overall I think this place should probably be just a restaurant as although there was much to like about it, the main issues arose from it being a restaurant first and foremost. We had room 3 - from which you really don't want to look out the windows to the back of the building - bins, plastic tanks and a...

I can't say enough good things about this hotel and it's owner/operators, Jonathan and Andrew. They have done an amazing job from top to bottom. No detail has been overlooked. It is a testament to the fact that you can have a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location and still set yourself miles apart with an amazing staff and wonderful...

Friendly and welcoming staff were a highlight. Pickup and drop off at ferry. Comfortable rooms with a minimalist design. We had a refreshing lunch and relaxing dinner at the restaurant. Quick walk to Oneroa beach. Only negative was lack of a view from room. Our room looked out on the back lot of the building next door.

Lovely restaurant and perfectly comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms - but people are the real difference. The General Manager works at the coal face to make you feel special without feeling you are putting them out. All the staff seem to love working here and it shows.

We traveled to Waheke and told to stay at the Oyster Inn. Perfect name for a most special spot. We stayed in room 2 and loved it! We met Inn Keepers Jonathon right away, and then met Andrew at dinner time. Best location for people watching. Best location for tasty food. Locals go here. Amazing oysters. Friendly and helpful staff....

We LOVED our two nights at the Oyster Inn. Granted, they were the first two nights of our trip in NZ, so we were pretty excited, but the Oyster Inn was still top notch. There are only three rooms, making it feel super exclusive, but the vibe is very chill and unpretentious. The room was spacious and clean and bright....

I thought this place was absolutely amazing, and I feel a little ungrateful mentioning a couple of negatives, but the point of a review is to give others the full picture so they can make fully informed choices. Firstly, the pick up from the ferry terminal. Somehow, they thought we were coming on a later ferry then we were, so...

This is the kind of small, secret, upscale place we love to discover in our travels. Room 2 was spacious, well-lit, quiet, and well-appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal in the restaurant, as well as our cooked-to-order breakfast in the morning. The entire staff was friendly and went out of their way to see that we enjoyed our stay....
