I have a thing about the alps and the fresh air. I remember passing this hotel as a kid every time we drove from the UK to Naples. Now all grown up, the last few years we have always stopped the night here. It's not posh, it's a family run hotel that use to be a monastery. Its such a...

The property, the location, the restaurant, everything was amazing! We were lucky to be there in the last weekend of the season and the weather cold enough to present us with snowfalls two days before our trip! Staff was very kind and helpful, rooms were cozy, breakfast with a good selection of local produce. We'll definitely go back next year!

This is a nice hotel/hostal on the top of the Alps, right on the border between Valais and Italy. There is nothing else around the hotel - besides an hospice run by the monks since many centuries, so it is a very unique place. We spend just one night there, right before they close for the winter. Getting there through...

Although on a main road, once dusk arrives, the quiet settles in. We stayed in a double room facing Italy. Rooms are recently updated and the style is simple but classy. Breakfast was included and we enjoyed local specialties. Staff was very kind and dinner in the restaurant downstairs was good after a day of hiking.

First of all, it's important to know that I called at least 10 times to check-up on the waiting list, since we needed to accomodate an extra 2 people and there were no availabilities. They were always very kind on the phone, and patient...they went as far as to send me a text message at 10 pm the day before...

Opposite the road from the Hospice, the Auberge offers more creature comforts, but is not open in the winter. We stayed here while hiking the Alpine Pass Route and I was very excited to arrive on foot at this historic place. The welcome at the Auberge is very friendly and knowledgeable. Due to recent snow fall, the owner gave helpful...

I stayed for one night having walked up from Ferret, and I found the simplicity of the Auberge perfect. The staff were very hospitable, we had fresh mountain flowers at the breakfast table (the breakfast was excellent) and we were made to feel at home. The rooms were spotless, simple, and small but big enough. It felt very much part...

We passed through the Pass of the Grand St Bernard two years ago and decided this year to have a stop-over break on our road-trip. The drive up to the pass and the Auberge is stunning. The Auberge is very well run and all the staff were so welcoming. We stayed in one of the basic twin rooms which was...

My husband and I stayed overnight and were upgraded to one of their new refurbished rooms on the 4th floor. The décor was beautiful with natural wood everywhere. We had a view of the St Bernard kennels, we truly enjoyed seeing these big beautiful gentle dogs whenever we looked out our window. The Staff are very friendly and ever so...

We were cycling the Via Francigena and the Col du Grand St Bernard was the highest point and the greatest challenge of the ride. We were determined to spend a night here before descending into Italy. Initially we contacted the Hospice but the brothers there suggested the hotel might suit us better. All facilities at the Col are linked to...
