We rested with our family a little longer than a week. A gorgeous view of the Carpathian mountains around, amazing air and water, excellent infrastructure (sports grounds for football, volleyball and tennis, a swimming pool with a counterflow, a bathhouse, massage, billiards, a gym and much more), friendly staff who, in any request, goes to meet guests, in the rooms and the territory are always clean, delicious breakfasts. I liked it very much, we left with regret. We will definitely come again!
We stayed at this hotel 5 years ago and really enjoyed, we went back recently to eat at the restaurant and were very disappointed. Extremely greasy small fish and very small portions, served at separate times, would not recommend.
We were in the Koruna for 2 days during our corporate event in December. This is real nice and quiet place surrounded by Carpathian mountains with fantastic view and mountain fresh air. The hotel is far from the road so you need to have a car to get here. They have a transfer service from the city. The rooms were clean and local cuisine especially delicious, staff were very attentive to the needs of clients. As for me it was very hot in rooms as for December, so we sleeped with open windows.
What a gem nestled in the Carpathian Mountains. Easy to fin off the main road, this hotel complex has several buildings, as well as a restaurant, dining hall and club area, massage, sauna and pool area and tennis courts. There is. Something for everyone. The re epitomizing is very thorough and welcoming. We had a junior suite at Verkhovyna one of the upper buildings. Dinner at the restaurant was superb with many Carpathian-style dishes to choose from. Will definitely return on my next visit and highly recommend!
After shortlisting a few hotels in the area, we decided to choose Koruna. While admittedly, their photos were somewhat lacklustre (and did not do the hotel any justice), we picked this option due to the emphasis it placed on cultural, historical, and ethnic themes of the local area. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised; the hotel was located away from the main road, was very well maintained, and felt incredibly secure thanks to the guards that were spread around the hotel grounds. The hotel complex itself was comprised of several wooden structures, all built with respect to traditional Ukrainian architecture. Our suite in particular had a large balcony with magnificent views that looked over the mountainside. This, together with a bottle of wine, made for a very relaxing way to end the day. As mentioned above, the hotel’s grounds are well maintained. They have a farm, a museum, and all other facilities that are expected from a self respecting establishment. Moreover, while we did not use the children club, we did see a number of kids who enjoyed the organised activities. A few words of criticism, the pillows that were provided were pretty hard, we found it uncomfortable to sleep. In addition, despite the provision of a wine bottle and bottle opener, we did not receive any wine glasses. While we did manage to resolve this situation, it would have been a nice touch. Special compliments to the restaurant’s staff. We arrived at the hotel 15 minutes before their restaurant was due to close. As we’d just spent the last few hours on the road, we were really hoping that the restaurant could accommodate us, somehow. Based off previous experiences (several trips to continental Europe), our expectations were low; sandwiches, cold-cuts and perhaps a bottle of wine... not in Koruna! Less than half an hour later (after we’d checked in and settled down in our room), we were greeted with a smile by the restaurant’s head waiter, Natalya. Contrary to our expectations, we were served a full-size dinner - starters, main, desert, all prepared to order. Delicious! For the following 3 nights, we tried different dishes every time that we were seated, both for breakfast and for dinner. It seemed that the restaurant could do no wrong; the traditional West-Ukrainian cuisine was a treat for both the stomach and the eyes! Once again, I’d like to mention Natalya. She is an excellent person that is really passionate about her work - always going the extra mile. For instance, as we were interested in the special events at the hotel, Natalya offered to give us a brief tour of the banquet facilities. Throughout, she took extreme care, even showing us some photos from the previous year. Without Natalya, our stay in Koruna would not be complete, we hope to see her again when we revisit the hotel.…
