Looking for a place out of time where to stay: Mulino Marghen is for you ! Wonderful location inside the Apuanes alps, the mill is like an island in the middel of chestnut woods. The stone bulding has been elegantly renovated and offers everything demanding citizens are looking for. Nights are full of dreams without any noise. A pure pleasure...

From the moment you drive down the road and see the property it takes your breathe away. Martin and Adrianna have done an excellent job of converting the mill to give you "creature comforts" without forsaking the charm and character of yesteryear. The staff are fantastic and I especially liked Rafaella who was a delight. I had dinner there every...

We had a wonderful time in this tranquil setting and only wished we could have stayed longer! A delightful remote setting with lovely cool evenings - a must visit for summer trips. The food was excellent and locally sourced with friendly and welcoming staff. I would also highly recommend a day sailing on the catamaran owned by Martin, the co-owner...

This is a new venture. The hotel has been converted from a flour mill but has kept a lot of the character. The rooms are spacious, clean and use old furniture which adds to the character of the building. Martin is very friendly and helpful, we didn't meet his wife Adrianna as she was due to give birth to her...

Mulino Marghen is a tastefully restored water mill,once used to produce flour from the chestnuts of the surrounding forest.The mill sits on the banks of the clear flowing torrente gordana and is surrounded by the forests and pasture of Zeri.We offer warm hospitality in our comfortable 5 rooms amidst the tranquilty of our unique position.Dine on fresh local produce prepared in our kitchen. Whenever possible produce is either grown organically on our own land or else sourced from local farmers here in Zeri Valley. All rooms are ensuite and have internet access.In the summer we serve a great breakfast on the terrace,with the sound of the river in the background.In the evening,if it is cooler,relax in front of the fire place in our snug salon. ... more   less
