Home Farm & Lodge might well be that thing that I've been looking for, without quite realising it, for the last 20 odd years: The Perfect B&B for a stay over with the kids when I'm visiting family in Doncaster. Kerry, one of the owners, could not have been more friendly and helpful. The rooms are massive, with comfy beds, couch, telly, thick oak beams and even thicker walls, which is always a bonus (as it means I don't have to worry about the neighbours being woke up by my kids WWE wrestling reenactments at 6am). But the real deal is in the detail. Fresh bread, fresh milk and juice in the fridge, decent coffee and hot chocolates for the kids, a powerful shower with gorgeous-smelling shower gel, high-end bedding and a superb mattress on the bed.

We've been staying at identikit HolidayPremierTravelLodgeInns in or near Doncaster for years, having never realised that we could have been staying in the lap of luxury over in Austerfield for around the same price. Won't be making that mistake ever again!!

Thank you so much Kerry and Richard for providing such a lovely Home From Home, and for making us feel so welcome. I really look forward to seeing you again very soon.

We struck gold with this lovely accommodation. My husband and I only stayed for one night whilst visiting the area. A very friendly welcome by Kerry and Richard. Our room, number 6, was more like a studio apartment. A very comfy bed, a sofa, table and small kitchenette. A lovely bathroom with the fluffiest, softest towels ever. The shower, shampoo and soap products are all environmentally friendly. The accommodation smelled gorgeous.
Breakfast items are in the room and this consisted of cereals, muesli, porridge, fresh fruit, yogurt, jams, butter. 2 pints of milk and various teas, coffees, orange juice, water and hot chocolate. The hosts also supply bread and pastries. They were more than happy to offer alternatives to us due to dietary needs.
The garden area is very pretty and an outside table was by our front door.
We travel a lot and have to say this accommodation is outstanding in every aspect. . We wished we were staying longer. Kerry and Richard are great hosts and the accommodation is beautiful. We can't wait to return next year. Thankyou.

This is a farm with converted barn buildings providing 6 or 7 different accommodations. We stayed here on our way further North, it being conveniently just off the A1. It was a late booking and we had excellent communications with the owners.

It's quite close to the pretty little town of Bawtry, which is where we found somewhere lovely to eat, there were many places to choose from.

We were in room 2, which was an upstairs room and consisted of a really cosy bedroom at one end, a kitchenette and sitting room at the other end, with a spacious bathroom with excellent facilities including a walk in shower. The kitchenette was well equipped with a fridge, microwave and toaster, and all sorts of plates and glasses so you could easily have had a take away. Breakfast was included in the form of a continental breakfast - yoghurts, fresh fruit, croissants, cereal and a whole loaf of fresh bread, with butter and jams. Really perfect for people on the move.

There was a tv in both the sitting room and the bedroom, the settee was really good and I don't think I've ever slept so well in a strange bed - it was really comfy!

The sitting room looked out onto the road outside, but this didn't disturb us at all, nor did the nearby airport. Being a converted barn, the walls of this unit were very thick, meaning it was really cosy and comfortable. There were plenty of windows to keep it cool if a warm night.Room 2

We were met on arrival and had a little wander around the grounds before we left. Really can't recommend this place highly enough and have every intention of returning.

The husband and I stayed here for an overnight stay whilst attending a wedding at the Bawtry Hall. Although most of our time was taken up by the wedding function at Bawtry Hall our brief time at the Home Farm Lodge could not have been better.

We stayed in Room 5 and our daughter and wife stayed in Room 6. Both rooms were exactly what we needed and everything we needed was catered for within those rooms. We also had the opportunity to meet the owners and they were lovely hosts.

There is a lovely small garden area & small orchard with home grown fruit outside of the rooms where we stayed, which was a gorgeous place to sit for our breakfast the following morning.

Highly recommended.

Booked three of the lodges as we were attending a family wedding at Bawtry Hall and did not want the busyness of a hotel. The lodges were clean, comfortable, well appointed and set in beautiful gardens where we were able to host a pre-wedding gathering. The breakfast packs were amazing with everything we could possible want and Kerry and Richard went out their way to ensure we had a lovely stay. The business has a silver Green (eco) award and the garden a wildlife award making it ideal for those who care for the environment. This is how self-catering should be done.

First night of my 2 day stay completed - this place is wonderful.
Clean, quiet, fantastic rooms.
Also nice to find a place to stay where it genuinely feels like owners care about the environment.
This will now be my first choice location to stay when I am up this way in the future. The only reason to not recommend it would be a fear that it was fully booked when you wanted it!

Kerry and Richard the owners have done a fabulous job.

This is our second stay at Home Farm and this stay was equally just as good as our first stay. My husband and I stayed 5 nights and can quite easily say we enjoyed every bit of our time at Home Farm. We stayed in room 4 again and it’s so comfortable and spacious.
Kerry is the perfect host and can’t do enough to make sure we had enough provisions for our breakfast, even delivering the most delicious fresh bread to our doorstep. Amazing service. I can’t fault this lovely place and conce again, we will be booking again for next year.
Thank you Kerry and Richard.

We stayed at Home Farm & Lodge for one night having travelled from Devon. We found Home Farm & Lodge by chance and what a gem to find.
We received texts from Kerry which made when arriving very clear. A genuinely lovely welcome from Kerry who showed us to our room (room 4). Absolutely stunning. Every inch of the place is stunning. The room AND the well kept, beautiful grounds. The room could not have been any cleaner. !
The continental breakfast which was in the kitchen ready for the morning was locally produced. The bread was fresh and delicious ( I took what we didn’t eat home !) Plenty of milk for coffee and cereal.
I could not give you a negative. Without a doubt, excellent value for money. If you are passing or staying in or near Doncaster then you would be mad to not stay here. A genuine well done to Kerry and Richard who clearly takes pride and love into their business. I hope we will need to visit Doncaster again so I have the pleasure of staying here but next time, for longer.

This is our 3rd time staying at Home Farm & Lodge .
We first came across Home Farm when we were looking for a place to stay whilst we were visiting our son in Bawtry. We have stayed in 2 of the cottage style rooms and both have been just perfect . Clean , beautifully furnished and the best nights sleep in really comfortable beds. I love Kerry’s little touches / style . There is also a really pretty garden area you can sit and have your morning coffee or drink in the evening . Continental style breakfast is included and this includes fresh orange juice , milk for cereals , fresh loaf of bread , jam . Perfect location for nearby Bawtry , Doncaster and Sheffield. We have also travelled to Leeds and York. We are already looking forward to our next stay in March .
