The newly renovated Hydro Majestic is stunningly gorgeous. There are several seating areas where you can order a drink, sit and relax and those rooms are gorgeous spaces to sit in. They also serve a lovely high tea (rather expensive!) in the main dining room with spectacular views. It's worth the price of the tea just to be able to...

As per the title: staff very friendly and efficient but the HM both advantaged and handicapped by its history. Nice views from rooms built early last century. They are quite small and cramped. There's nothing that can be done about that. Not sure who did the interior decoration for the latest upgrade but he / she has a fetish for...

My wife and I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the Winter Garden restaurant on a Monday night. The food was top quality. The staff were all friendly, attentive and extremely polite and well trained in restaurant service. The atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, set in beautiful surroundings. Furniture, linen and cutlery were all very high quality; no paper napkins...

We used the Hydro Majestic as a getaway for a planning session. Lots of blue sky thinking required and this is exactly the place to do it. With so many little warrens and lavish decor to marvel at and never ending corridors this is the perfect place for creation and break out sessions. We stayed for two nights. The food...

Over priced accommodation. Small room with tiny bathroom. Decor is tired and cupboard hanging space/ storage is extremely limited. Room had a lingering smell of cigarette smoke with only a small window in the bathroom that allowed for fresh air. Overall I would not recommend based on value for money.

We decided not to stay at the hotel or go for a meal but wanted to see the latest renovations so we booked into the $10 history tour. This runs twice a day (as long as there are enough people) and were to only ones to attend so had a wonderful 45 minutes enjoying hearing about the history and renovations....

This was a family Christmas event for about 20 of us. Apparently others were told to eat first but no one told me. The deal was $95 for a main course, entree and dessert. Or $75 for a main course and a choice of entree or dessert. I can't eat desserts so I paid $75 for main course and entree....

Whether you are there for the step-back-in-time experience, or for a quality hotel stay, I really suggest looking at the many other options available in the Blue Mountains (bear in mind, the same chain that owns Hydro Majestic, Accor, also owns Lillianfels now...) The rooms were small and comparatively expensive, service was virtually non-existent and the duty manager at check...

Stayed 1 night in a valley view room which was very well appointed with a wonderful view. Staff were excellent. When I asked for another chair, it was brought in minutes. The hotel itself is magnificent, lots of wonderfully furnished public rooms. Reminded me of a very elegant cruise liner. Would have given it 5 stars, but, as we did...

We decided to splash out for the last night of our holiday and see what the Hydro was like after its' restoration. They very kindly upgraded us to a beautiful room with huge bay windows. We decided to try the fine dining in house, for dinner. Two - course menu is $75 and three-course $95. We opted for the former....
