Absolutely fantastic hotel with amazing views. The staff were helpful and accommodating and our rooms were well appointed with astounding views. Our travel agent consistently finds us hotels with unique features and this was no different. Sitting at the precipice of the El Tajo gorge, this modern hotel boasts views that are unrivaled in much of Spain. The hotel is central to many tourist sites, street markets and wonderful restaurants -- plus, it has a parking garage! Would I stay here again? Most definitely.

We stayed in Parador de Ronda for 1 night on 2/19. Despite making a mistake on the date of reservation, the desk staff, Ms Rosanna Lopez assisted us to secure a room and even checked us in early so we could rest before strolling in Ronda, with the same rate as our reservation thru Booking.com. The stay included a buffet breakfast from 8-11am. They had good choices to cater everyone's dietary preference, hot and cold, cooked and local breakfast like Spanish omelette, sautéed bell peppers, rice as well as pastries, fresh fruits and freshly squeezed orange juice. Our room is enormous, for a European hotel. It had a king size bed with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ravine. The building is antique, an old town hall which was renovated into a hotel. The bathroom is equipped with shaving set, hair cap, dental sets, bath sponge, mini sewing kit and female hygiene supplies. The bath tub has handles to accommodate disabled guests. The bath towels and linen are of great quality. My only suggestion is probably to polish the wooden floor and green marble bathroom floor. It is an old hotel and needs some modernization; however, this does not take away the comfort and charm this hotel has. We have never encountered any behavior issues from its staff. They assisted us with a smile and courtesy. We highly recommend this place.

This place is perfect in every single aspect, with its great location and how the management keeps this place pristine clean it’s even hard to match.
Rooms are illuminated, spacious and decorated with sobriety, the outdoor patio with a retractable shade and a patio table looking to the plaza and the bridge are gorgeous. The quality and design of the wood on doors and floors is simple yet beautiful, everywhere you look there’s light and cleanliness.
We like to have king beds but didn’t mind the fact that they out two single beds together since they were comfortable and wrapped in good white sheets.
Included breakfast at the restaurant may have been even better that all of the described above, the restaurant has big windows looking to the valley and the river creek that are incredible, it’s full of light. Selection of foods and drinks is the best we have seen in Spain.
Management is doing a great job with this property.

Ronda's balconies are the best. Dedicate time to walk along the edge of the city, then passing the bridge, and a short hike under the bridge until you reach water cleaning mechanisms. The views are amazing. Just be aware, as sadly but many wastewater from cafes and houses go directly under the bridge :(

This is a wonderful Paradore which is extremely well maintained. Perfect location next to bridge in Ronda. Garage parking available. Built in 16th Century, the building was formerly the Town Hall. Beautiful views over the gorge. Approx 80 bedrooms of different grades available. It doesnt come cheap but it is a very exclusive property. Expext ro pay €150-200 per night in high season. The restaurant is wonderful- try the traditional ajo blanco - cold garlic soup that's tasted much better than it sounds and is served with finely grated hard boiled egg, crushed almonds and almond cheese. Just wonderful. So refreshing in the heat of Summer too. Roast baby kid is also a local delicacy which they execute so well here. All the tourists 'bits' of Ronda are nothing walking distance if hotel so you can leave you car in the garage after arrival

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this Parador, and I have to say that we were a little disappointed. The Parador is in an ideal location on the edge of the gorge but that is really its only positive.

We were booked into a duplex room which consisted of a ground floor "lounge" area with a small bathroom, with probably the smallest shower enclosure I have ever seen, and a small balcony. Up quite a step set of stairs was the bedroom with a large bathroom and a large terrace with 2 sun loungers and a table and chairs. The terrace should have been wonderful with great views, but the effect was somewhat spoilt by the extractor vent from the kitchen being right next to it. This was noisy, ran continuously from 7am until after 10pm and regularly wafted us with smells of cooking food. I am not sure if the furniture in the bedroom was meant to be shabby chic, or was just shabby. On our arrival the level of cleanliness in the room was nor great with hair in the handbasin, "dust bunnies" on the bedroom floor and the terrace even had a cigarette stub on it. This was not what I would expect when paying over €300 a night.

Compared to other Paradores we have stayed at we thought the breakfast buffet disappointing, and the breakfast service can only be described as chaotic. On the first morning we both ordered 2 fried eggs with bacon, and received a single overcooked egg and some insipid looking cold bacon. The second morning we did get what we ordered, but on our arrival there was no orange juice, and at one point no bread as the waiter removed all the bread trays to replenish them at the same time. As to the toaster, it was probably the most inefficient we have ever experienced, after 5 minutes at full power bread had barely changed colour.

The public rooms are totally lacking in character, just an open expanse of nothing. Service at the bar in the evenings was somewhat on the slow side, mainly because there was only one person on duty most of the time.

Parking at the Parador is underground, and accessed via a fairly narrow winding ramp. I was driving a medium sized SUV and had my heart in my mouth driving down it, and certainly would not have wanted to do it with anything bigger.

Overall a bit of a disappointment.

We had been given a 2 night Parador package by friends so chose to go to Ronda . The Parador was easy to find despite roadworks as the Parador team had emailed us with a suggested route into town.. Garage parking was useful as well. Our room was on the ground floor with access to the garden so we were able to see and photo the spectacular views in the sunshine.

Car breakdown on the serpentine road from Marbella led to a very late arrival but the hotel was ready for us and we enjoyed the hotel facilities and most comfortable room.

We had taken advantage of significantly discounted price for Amigos members offered on "Cybermonday" the previous year and planned a tour of other Andalusian paradors and cities.

Breakfast was outstanding with perfect views from a commanding position across the valley.

And what a location!

We checked into two rooms. The couple in front of us had the same room type we reserved, Standard Double, and they asked if they could have a more quiet room, with a view. The check in attendant said of course, as they were not full at all, being a Sunday night during the Virus Scare. I understand Spanish very well, as I live in Sevilla with my family. However, when I asked in English if we could have the same type of rooms, quiet, and with a view, the attendant told me, no because they were full!
The rooms we received were likely the two worst, room 100 and 102. Room 100 faces the interior driveway, so cars and people are arriving leaving all day/night. Room 103 faces the outside walkway, and the HVAC did not even work! It was completely inoperable. I asked the front desk if we could get a room with working AC, and he again said no, there were no other rooms at all available! it was a hot, stuffy, and noisy night, as I had to have the window open for cooling, and people were talking/walking/laughing/drinking outside all night (normal for Spain).
It would have been lovely if we had been Spanish...........

For us, Ronda is all about the stunning views and the parador perched on the clifftop beside the iconic bridge is well placed for enjoying them. Its other big selling point is its underground car park.
Our room (11) was spacious and comfortable with an impressive outlook towards the northwest. There is a public walkway round the parador but it is a floor level lower than the bedrooms and it did not stop us enjoying sitting on the balcony. In the high season it might be a drawback.
The tour groups tend to focus on the mirador a short distance north of the parador but we continued along the promenade past the Alameda del Tajo and found ourselves alone (late February) with a wonderful panorama all the way.
We ate in the parador’s restaurant one evening and although the surroundings and service were to a high standard the food was disappointing. We opted for the six course sample menu which looked promising on paper but turned out to be an unbalanced mix of taster size starters of mediocre quality followed by a massive dish of stewed bull’s tail, which was tasty enough but over-large and out of context. Not recommended.
