Loved this hotel!! The view was absolutely breathtaking from our beautiful room. We had the Marbella Suite, it was very large, so nicely decorated and had a super comfy bed. Angela at the front desk could not have been more helpful or welcoming, she is a lovely person. The parking for dropping off luggage was a little difficult as the road is on a very steep slope so hard to back out of in a standard and if you keep going forward you enter a zone that is not open to non locals. The parking lot that the hotel directs you to is easy to access and only a very short ( and scenic ) walk through a pretty little park to get to. There is a lovely little store just down the street from the hotel that sells the most unique ceramic bowls with metal decoration around the rim. The bridge is a 1 minute walk at most from the hotel and just across the bridge are all the restaurants you could hope to chose from. We went to Il Forno a Legna on Calle Nueva, absolutely delicious meal and wonderful Sangria!! Wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights as Ronda is such a picturesque town with lots of shopping, restaurants and truly amazing views! If you get a chance make a day trip to Cueva de la Pileta to see the cave drawings. It's only a 30 minute scenic drive and well worth the 10 euro admission, an experience I will not soon forget. Hotel Montelirio is a wonderful choice in Ronda and we would most definitely stay here again!

This hotel is worthy of more than 5 stars! The location is perfect, the room is perfect, the staff is perfect! We are staying in the Marbella Suite, it is large and beautiful! The shower in the bathroom is wonderful, very roomy, lots of water pressure and lots of hot water. There is quite a selection of free toiletries ( see pictures ) and the towels are large and soft! The full king size bed was more than comfy! The decor is so warm and inviting, beautiful furniture, tastefully decorated! The best part of all is opening the curtains for the first time and seeing that view! Breathtaking! We didn't eat breakfast here but it did smell good in the mornings. I will hate to leave here in the morning. A special thank you to Angela at reception for fulfilling my request for this room! She is a lovely person who couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful, it was very appreciated! Thank you Hotel Montelirio for a marvelous start to our Andalucian holiday!

We stayed in the Marbella Suite at the Montelerio Hotel for 3 nights in April. We arrived by public bus from Malaga and it was an easy 15-minute walk from the bus station using Google Maps as our assistant.
The room was large with a separate sitting/relaxing area with the most incredible views into the gorge and over the valley below.
Breakfast was adequate though not particularly extensive. Unfortunately the hot items weren't replenished often enough and on our first morning the only available eggs were fried eggs that had been sitting around for a couple of hours and were inedible. The second and third days showed an improvement and the breakfast waitress was lovely and welcoming.
A stunning hotel in a perfect setting and we would recommend paying a little extra for a room with a view.

What a wonderful hotel. We stayed in a junior suite (Room 204) and it was fantastic with breathtaking views of the valley and the bridge from the Juliet balcony. On more that one occasion we opened up the doors and just sat there taking in the views. All of the staff were great but I must highlight the outstanding service and approach provided by Angela, she was fantastic. We arranged parking through the hotel which meant that the car was stored locally in a garage 1 min from the hotel. When we needed the car Angela would have it available for us at short notice. If you are bringing a car, drive past the hotel (50m) into a small square and leave the car on the right hand side outside number 16. You can then walk back to the hotel with your bags. Breakfast was very good with views to die for as is also the case with the restaurant. We ate in the restaurant on two occasions and they prepared on request, with the assistance of Angela, a light meal for one of our party who wasn’t feeling well, truly great customer service. The only slight downside, not in any way the fault if the hotel, was listening to the bedroom antics of the room next door, on more than one occasion, in fact 4 times in 12hrs, I felt that a round of applause was warranted, as probably did the other rooms on the floor.

We stayed in one of the top floor rooms which had a four poster bed and was decked out in an almost medieval theme. There was also an excellent view from the shower! The staff were great and helped us with parking in their garage just down the street and were very helpful on check-in. See seperate review on the restaurant.

Under normal circumstances I dine with my family and friends at this restaurant, as it is by far the best in Ronda by a country mile. On this occasion, I was travelling to Spain on my own, still they gave me superb attention to detail in every aspect, from table service to warmth and amazing food. I had the lamb ! The concerns of the pandemic closure and not meeting their previous high standards were quickly put to rest with a truly wonderful experience. I’m very impressed, keep up the high standards and best wishes for the future.

I wanted a hotel with a view of the Puente Nuevo, those with the obvious views were expensive and sounded unsatisfactory. Hotel Montelirio sounded good and with good views of the gorge at least.
The hotel is excellent - full of character and very comfortable. The staff were brilliant (we'd just walked from Benaojan and were plied with much needed cold water). The pool is tiny, but you are here for the view, not a pool holiday. Our balcony gave a view of the bridge as well as the gorge, and you could just about see the bridge from inside the room.
Definitely the right place for us.

Ronda is a charming place, but does get busy with tourists (like us!) wanting to view the impressive gorge. Rather than face the somewhat iffy street restaurants, we looked for something more classy. The Hotel Montelirio provided a wonderful refuge for lunch, and has a super dining terrace right over the gorge. It is only a minute or two away from the main bridge and offers a sophisticated menu which is beautifully served. Highly recommended!

This is a small facility, perhaps 20 rooms, on a narrow street. Google maps will get you there and you will need the hotel’s private parking ((20Euros /day). Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and nicely appointed. The view from the hotel’s restaurant is spectacular. We just had a snack there but some claim the food is good.

Our room at Hotel Monteliro could not have had a more spectacular view. Like others, we strongly encourage splurging on a room with a view. You literally open the window and look straight down the ravine on which you are perched and across at the new bridge. The hotel is lovely, very clean and conveniently located to all sights in the both old and new towns. Special recognition to Lola who took great care of us. She made sure our car was ready at the early hour of 6 am for the drive to Tarifa. Also Diego at the restaurant was wonderful making us feel welcome despite our late arrival back. Thank you Hotel Monteliro for making our visit to Ronda one of the highlights of our vacation.

Good afternoon, In our Junior suites we can put 1 sofa-bed, 1 extra bed and 1 cot. The extra fee is 33€ per person and night from 4years old. All our rooms are very confortable but the junior suite is the bigest one in our hotel and ideal for a family. Best regards,

Is there parking?
Answer from Travelling_Axe
Vancouver, Canada1,967 contribution421 helpful votes
They do have a garage within about 100m. They will park your car for you and when you need it you can accompany them to the garage to retrieve your car. Leave your car at the beginning of the first street to the right after the new bridge (they have a marked temporary parking zone there) and give the keys to the reception.
