Dear Guest As you may well imagine your review was met with disappointment and indeed surprise. I will start by way of an apology for any let down to you. You will see from the numerous reviews surrounding yours that this is not at all indicative of the Ferrycarrig. We are consistently applauded for our staff friendliness and standard that we offer to our guests. In fact we are renowned for looking after our guests and pride ourselves on it. I must assure that I will be immediately looking into all of the issues you have raised. In regards to our pricing we are most definitely in line with all of our competitors. All of our guest rooms and adjacent balconies are non smoking so I can only say that a previous guest chose to ignore this, hence the smell. While I appreciate your feedback I do find the terms "snotty young ones" and "cleaning staff a useless lazy bunch" somewhat offensive and uncalled for! I really do wish that you had brought your concerns to our direct attention as it is most often very difficult to deal with a cold case. I would be happy to discuss things in more depth with you in order to get more detail here should you wish to contact me at the hotel. Kind Regards Derek Coyne

Dear Guest Thank you for your candid review. Firstly I must start by way of an apology for letting you down. I appreciate and respect your feedback and accept your prerogative to voice your opinions in this way although we very much encourage and welcome the opportunity to discuss matters face to face particularly as your review seems to have been written while staying at the hotel. I most certainly will be giving all the issues you have highlighted my immediate attention. You will find that we have applied a refund for the difference in menu prices and room upgrade. I do hope that you did enjoy the food for dinner and I can only assume that we did in fact meet your expectations on previous visits as you did indeed come back again. Obviously on this occasion we did not meet expectations but I can only hope that we would regain your confidence sometime again in the future. Kind Regards Derek Coyne General Manager
