Mediterranean hotels are often built on waste land, miles from anywhere, which tourists appear not to notice because of the endless sunshine. The immediate surroundings are of little consequence. This giant hotel is no exception. However inside the hotel all is clean and tidy and the rooms comfortable and cool. The breakfast/dining room is sadly soulless and more like a university refectory so you wouldn’t go there for a special occasion. Breakfast was plentiful though missing a good selection of fresh fruit and didn’t open til 8am which I guess few tourists would complain about. The hotel is close to some lovely salt lakes and really nice beaches. There was plenty of bird life on the shore, in the lakes and in an area of common ground not spoilt by the endless building going on everywhere and much of it unfinished. An interesting spectacle was the gathering of towelling robed couples in reception at certain times of the day who I found out later we’re heading to the spa- looked a bit like a cult meeting.

There is a shortage of hotels in San Pedro Del Pinatar, hence shortage of choice. Overall the experience was good but not a 4 star. The staff at the reception were not the most hospitable, they were at times dismissive, did not smile and it seemed that they were there because they had no choice. The food was less than to be desired at breakfast. The dinner menu was average. What was surprising was that I burnt my arm on the toaster in the dining area. I asked reception whether they had a first aid box and were told a blunt "No". the receptionist did not ask how it happened or how they could help. There is no kettle in the rooms or any facility to have a cup of tea or coffee, but there is a small fridge which is temperamental. The beds are excellent and the cleaning everyday is excellent. The television programmes are predominantly in English save a few channels that are news channels in English (not an issue). The location is excellent. We did enjoy the spa which made up for the other bits.

The sea water pools are large with great jets it’s 16 euro to use 11-2 pm it’s an extra 10 euro to use the sauna which we only discovered on arrival - having booked a massage treatment and the pool. A suggestion would be to make the sauna a part of the deal when paying for a treatment .
The massage was very dissapointing it’s a light touch Effleurage type massage . You are brought to a room told to lie face down and the therapist arrived , there is no introduction or questions asked about whether the pressure is ok . It felt very functional .
We were shown the exit after , there was no information given about the relaxation room which has teas etc . There was no offer of water until we asked . The restaurant was closed with no available place for food or tea coffee . It was also stated it was not available in the hotel either
It seems the best value way to use the spa is to combine with an overnight hotel stay where you have free access to the pool .

We booked for the Nye package after a recommendation from a Spanish friend.
We found it to be clean and friendly and good value for money. The bar service was a little slow but they soon sorted that out and brought in extra staff to deal with the huge influx of people.

We spent the afternoon in the spa. It could do with a little more signage and they should explain that you need to take in your own towels and need coins for lockers but the spa was large enough to cope with lots of people and has easy access for persons with disabilities. Plenty of showers and changing areas. The water is salt and a glorious 34°.

The drinks and canapes were a lovely start to the gala evening and the banqueting suite was really nicely decorated. Good service that seemed very organised and the drinks flowed. Nice menu and everything arrived hot and nicely presented. Live music, free bar after midnight.

Lovely clean room with a good bathroom and complimentary toiletries. Nice bedding and a nice little balcony. Plenty of lifts to all areas.

Excellent buffet style breakfast with lots of choice. Secure underground parking. All in all a very pleasant stay and good value for money.

Booked a session in the spa, with massage and buffet lunch for my son and his girlfriend. Thought I’d booked 4:30-8:30 but had made a mistake on the booking and booked 11-2 instead.

We arrived promptly at 4:30 to be met by an outrageously rude, lady and aggressive receptionist. I explained that I did not have my phone and asked that she look up our booking on the system. She refused, told me it was to difficult and that I would need to do the 45 min round trip to get my phone as it was too difficult for her to find. I spent 10 mins trying to log into my account on my sons phone but due to 2 step authentication just couldn’t do it. I approached her again and asked if she could look us up on the system. Was shouted at aggressively and told again the it was way to hard and we would have to wait until she had signed in everyone else in as we would cause a huge delay. Once everyone was signed in we approached her again. Grumpy, sulky, rude… only begins to describe her attitude. It took her 15-30 seconds to find or booking (so much for being hard and having to do a 45 minute round trip to get my phone). Not even a hint of embarrassment that she had made such a fuss or been so rude and aggressive towards me. Then we realised I had actually booked the morning session and not the afternoon. I requested that she at least let them in for a 13 euro pool session (had paid 64 per person). “No, you have lost everything! Hi oh made the mistake!!” After several minutes she conceded and made an “exception” and let them in.

For a business that wants to attract customers for a relaxed chilled out experience, this was a complete joke.

We were humiliated in front of other customers, made to feel stupid, growled at, shouted without a single piece of empathy that the chilled out spa experience we booked had just gone up in smoke.

We have been before and the service has been poor but this was another level.

We have a property in the area for the last 15 years so are fully aware that customer service is different but this was way out of line.

Go there but don’t expect a high quality customer experience. Expect utilitarian, third grade service.

Booked a junior suite it’s overlooking a dusty car park, staff are not helpful at all if you can find them. Advertise swimming pools. Outside pool is great but closed due to having a staff shortage. Pool in spa area only open 11.00 - 14.00 then 16.00 - 20.00 NO mornings. Roof top terrace is all closed up. Response from management is simple JUNE is out of season. No mention of seasons when booking and we are here for 28 nights yippee

Lovely room with comfortable bed and good pillows.
Very clean in all areas with daily housekeeping.
Nice view to the sea but obstructed by the desalination plant across the road from some lower floor rooms so book a 4th floor sea view room.
No tea and coffee making facilities in the room.
Breakfast OK but hot items not kept warm enough.
Dinner buffet again not very hot and limited choice, not great value for 29€ a head unless you drink a lot of the included wine.
Not much within easy walking distance, not the hotels fault but just fyi.
On a fairly busy road so there is some traffic noise by the pool but not too bad.
Can be a bit smelly in the outdoor areas which I believe is caused by the desalination plant across the road but again not too bad.
Underground car parking is available for 5€ a day but there is ample free parking just across the road.
Didn't use the spa but beware you have to buy and wear a hotel swimming cap and flip flops.

I arrived quite late in the evening for a one night stay on our way back to Portugal, but was pleasantly surprised by this Hotel, so much so I actually paid for a late check out. The salt pools (free entrance) were amazing, and not crowded at all (early September). Spent a couple of hours there. Nice family room with balcony, modern and clean.

Breakfast was good. Did not try lunch because I am trying to avoid buffets and meals at indoor places. Did eat a very nice meal nearby.

Pricewise, great value for 3 persons even considering the late checkout.

Missed the beaches, but did visit the Salt fields and watched the flamingos. Would definitely return to the area. Very clean, all recommendations were followed, so felt perfectly safe.

Called at the hotel one week before to ask to book for Wednesday of following week was told if it was a lunch spa had to be Monday.
Bought spa and lunch as a birthday treat for my friend .
Arrived to be told no lunches available we could use spa and come back in the evening for a meal.
Not a very satisfactory offer so we declined .
Was only offered a refund on the difference after requesting it .
Was handed a robe and hat to use as compensation for a ruined birthday treat.
No use to us as we had brought our own as we were asked to do so at booking .
Still waiting for my refund
Don't bother not a treat at all .Staff were not a bit concerned .

Booked a double room but was given 2 singles. Balcony and view were lovely. Small bathroom but beds seem comfy enough. Not much information given on anything. No information on where breakfast is and what time, nothing about where the spa is and what you'll need to enter. You have to wear flip-flops and a swimming cap which is not communicated when booking the spa or when you check in at reception. Maybe this place is better in the summer as there's an outdoor pool. It would however get very busy as it is already busy in March. This will most definitely not help the level of customer service you receive. An okay hotel but will not be recommending or booking here again.
