Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were highly impressed with our entire stay here. The staff were all very helpful, especially Conner who was very friendly and allround well mannered. The room was extremely spacious and the bed was comfortable and huge! The food and service was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Top marks to all the staff at the Waterloo Cross especially Conner. Will be returning soon.

I came in on the fly with my family to see if they had a table spare for some food i could see they was very busy but I was still I was met by a lovely young gentleman behind the bar called Connor who was very polite and accommodating For me and my family we got seated by him and asked to order food and drink at the bar. After we had ordered and got our drinks I could see how hard him and his team was working and the younger girl who I didn’t manage to catch her name has to be one of the hardest working young person I’ve met in a very long time and still always had a smile on her face, I just wanna say thank you guys for being so welcoming in such a busy time we couldn’t have asked for more and will definitely be back soon!!

Dinner!! Had hunters chicken and apple crumble. Delish!!!!!! Staff really friendly, cook was amazing and the place was spotless. Nothing was too much trouble and I wasn’t made to feel awkward about eating alone. Nice atmosphere, and I really enjoyed my visit. Fabulous!

Absolutely horrendous place now myself and many others I know used to love this place not anymore pay for parking in a pub car park ok I know they refund you but that’s not the point the menus on there website is totally different to the one on the tables both things me and my wife really enjoy are no longer on the menu so after getting soaked at the parking meter then sitting down looking at a menu to find what we travelled there for is no longer on the menu so if you want a mixed grill don’t bother I can honestly say this place is a big let down

We went for a family Xmas meal today and it was lovely x the waitress Olivia was so polite and helpful, and the manager sue was very accomodating to our needs for our young child. Although there was a slight wait for the food today, which i expected on such a busy day, it was made up by the atmosphere and the quality of the food x thankyou for making our Xmas day out memorable!

An excellent venue for a group meal. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and eager to please. Our group of 14 bellringers had a very enjoyable time with good food after an exciting ring at Uffculme Parish church where the whole village is superbly decorated with lights to celebrate Christmas.
