Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After coming back from a weekend away with my girlfriend, I have to say that I have never been so impressed. Located near to Twycross zoo and very good local pubs this location for a getaway was perfect. We stayed in Pod 3 and couldn’t be happier with the pod. Everything from the hot tub to the kitchen was so well thought through and you can tell the owners put a lot of time into making it a great experience! Really glad we stayed.

We have just come back from the tipis. Can not fault them ! We had an amazing time . Everything we needed was right there . Couldn’t believe it when we got to the tipi and found a small kitchen . Nice touch. Despite the rain we had a lovely time and can’t wait to return . Even my 4 year old slept all night he never does. They are so cosy and warm. We were very grateful for the offer of more wood

Fantastic site, clean pitches, great views and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Children ages 10 and 6 really enjoyed the experience. It's a great base with Conkers a 30min drive and close to Twycross Zoo.

We visited with two other families and stayed in two tipis and the bell tent. The place was fantastic. It was well thought out and hassle-free. The owners were very helpful in advance of our trip as we were bringing a young baby with us , they were very accomodating and understanding. The extra facilities such as kitchen, dining room and wash areas were clean and well equipped. The bell tent was spacious and our friends who stayed in the tipis were very pleased with those too. Beautiful and remote at night and the fire pits with box of logs was a nice touch. We would highly recommend and will certainly be back!

We ( 2 adults and 2 young children) have just returned from a 2 night midweek stay and it was brilliant. We camp regularly but ditched the tent this time for something a little more. The sight is perfect. Small, quiet and off the beaten track with stunning views all around but close enough to everything u will need. The facilities are better then any of the large sites we have stayed on. The owner and his family were brilliant even giving my 3 year old son who is tractor mad a ride around the farm in his tractor. It completely made the trip for him. There is a football pitch to keep the kids occupied and loads of space to play and walk. We will definitely be returning. Couldnt recommend it highly enough

We arrived at the tipi quite late at night as we were coming from Lancashire, although we were provided with decent instructions, it was still a challenge to find the tipi site. An improvement that could be made to make it easier for people arriving in the dark is if the signs were lit up with outside lamps, as we did not see any of the signs when arriving in the dark, we just drove around until we saw the roofs of the tipis. The location is ideal, it is completely rural just off the B4116 road, you look out into farmers fields. There are plenty of walks to do as well, we were not aware of any of the local walks and couldn't seem to find much information on them but we just hoped for the best and followed some public footpath signs. Beautiful countryside. The nearest shop is a drive away, I would bring as much as possible with you as there is no opportunity to purchase essentials that you may have forgotten whilst at the tipi site... Definitely think they could earn themselves some more pennies by having some essential tuck shop or some sort... Could also sell some of the local farm products? The tipi itself is lovely, there are candles, a storage box, fairy lights (that unfortunately didn't work and you had to choose between fairy lights or the heater as there was only one plug socket...), a rug and a mattress with pillows. It gets cold at night despite having two glorious sunny days, the heater provided does not do much unless you are say within an inch of the heater fan... Anyways bring lots of warm blankets with you! We had one night of heavy rain and wind, the tipi was leaking slightly in places but nothing of major concern, we just re jigged how the tipi bed was positioned. There are no locks or anything on the tipis so you are being quite trusting... We had no issues with that but it may be an issue if it attracts the wrong sort of guests... You can never be sure. Could possible have lockers to keep items in instead of having some sort of lock on the tipis? Just a thought. The tipis are positions a good distance away from one another with there own picnic table, BBQ / fire area, this was nice. It wasn't over crowded or cramped and you got a good view without any other tipis being in the way. The facilities out building is well presented and modern, I have no complaints at all, it is a nice space and time as kept clean. The owners were lovely, spoke to the dad, the son and the lady- all helpful, polite and friendly. Highly recommend- just come prepared.
