This was our 2nd stay at the Swallows and it was every bit as good as the first . Sam is the perfect host making our breakfast early and welcoming us when we arrived late. The room was overlooking the garden and the countryside beyond. Tastefully furnished and a large en suite bathroom with bath and shower. We will be returning when back in the area.

This was our 2nd stay at The Swallows Rest and again it didn't disappoint. Sam and her team looked after us well, during these strange times, without missing that real home from home feel. If we could give more than 5 we would.

My daughter who is at School in Oundle stayed here after picking her up at end of term. It is usefully only 10 minutes away from Oundle, and I couldn't rate our stay highly enough. B&B doesn't really do it justice - definitely exceeded our expectations as really its 3 delightful private ensuite rooms with own entrance around a bright dining area in a lovely extension wing which I would say are all 5 star hotel quality. Our room looked out onto a delightful well kept garden which we sat out in, and that looks over to wonderful countryside. The friendly welcome and service was wonderful, Sam organised 2 lovely restaurants for suppers for us (and kindly even re -booked one when I forgot the time!). In the morning her cooked breakfast was amazing with some of the best organic local eggs I've ever tasted and the home made marmalade was awesome. I think the cooked breakfast may only be at e weekend but definitely worth it! Really looking forward to returning.

I stayed in this delightful bed and breakfast while visiting family. I could not fault anything all amenities had been well thought out. The bed room was very comfortable and relaxing to be in I could not fault it. There was every thing one needed lovely home made biscuits and a good selection of tea, coffee etc. The bathroom was bliss lovely white soft towels. A Roll top bath which you could luxuriate in. There was also a large walk in shower much appreciated. The toiletaries were of very good quality nun of these silly little soaps and caustic shower jell which one finds in some other places. Our bed room over looked the garden and the fields beautiful and tranquil to wake up to. As for the breakfast there was plenty of choice and local produce was used a very tasty start to our day. Sam the owner could not have been more helpful booking a table for us at a local restaurant. Thank you Sam and family. We will be returning.

Sam and Nick were excellent hosts. Made us very welcome. We stayed in the Willow room. The room was large and homely. Bathroom is everyones dream, nice and large with rolltop bath and a huge shower unit. Freshly cooked cookies (aswell as tea, coffee and fresh milk supplies also filtered water) was waiting for us in room. Also a honesty fridge full of different drinks. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. I had the works. Fresh fruit, pastry, then your scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoe, mushrooms and sausage. Nothing was too much trouble for Sam, Nick and their family. The B&B is situated in the lovely village of Brigstock. Would definitely go back again. Thank you Sam.
