We had not been here for a while and had read it had been refurbished. Well the main bar area didn't look too different but pleasing it hasn't had it's character removed. My husband likes his real ale and wasn't disappointed. We both had lasagne which was very good. It's a lovely village pub on the edge of the village...

It's great to read that you enjoyed your recent meal, and beer, at The Buck Inn. I am also pleased that you felt that the character of the inn is still intact. Thanks very much for posting a review to encourage other people to visit us, and we also hope to see you both again at some point.

Stayed here whilst visiting family. Bedroom and bathroom spotlessly clean with comfy bed. Excellent breakfast, good choice and freshly cooked. Enjoyed our evening meals in the bar, tasty food and a very friendly atmosphere. Very much looking forward to returning in July and have no hesitation in recommending this lovely pub.

Just returned from our third stay at this excellent pub. A comfortable room, good food, good beer, a beautiful setting - and, best of all for us, dog friendly. We've recommended it to friends who've visited and all agreed with our description of it. We'll certainly be back.

We've just returned from another wonderful short break at The Buck Inn. The staff are wonderfully friendly and very accommodating. They are very pet friendly, and brought our dog with us. Their allowance to the needs of pets is very helpful, and re-assuring to know that they will do everything to make the whole stay so enjoyable and relaxing. The...

The new owners have tastefully refurbished all their rooms to a high standard. I had the single and it overlooked the green where they regularly play cricket. Thank you for your positive comments about the bedroom and bathroom. I am sorry that you did not have a better night's sleep, due to the noise from other guests. We do intend to put some new bedroom doors on this year, so hopefully that will help the noise issues.

We really enjoyed a delicious lunch sitting in the garden of this pub. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the service was first class. We enjoyed hearing about the matches that the pub played against other teams. The game was outdoor quoits.
