The other half booked glamping as a birthday treat and I asked my self why would he do that!! Glamping, I thought, was not my thing, no electric, how was I going to do my hair. No heating, no phone charging. But how I was so wrong!! This trip was by far the best UK break I have ever been on a truly relaxing break (even with a 3 year old). Fire making, marshmallow roasting, wood walking, visiting lovely local villages, nights by the log fire. The only worry was the amount of melted chocolate I consumed. To be able to escape reality of the world also at the moment was pure bliss. The tent was spacious and cosy. Plenty of candles and blankets also which was perfect. June was lovely, and we felt so welcomed from the moment we arrived. We will 100% be going back 2021 for another adventure.

Another wonderful holiday at Lantern and Larks. My two daughters, one happy dog and I just spent a fabulous holiday at Exton Park. It’s such a beautiful setting, seriously it’s just the best! June the site manager was great, we loved the scenery and Rutland, our first visit. Albus the dog really enjoyed how safe the site was and I enjoyed a glass of wine or three in the summer weather. We will definitely be booking again.

Our first experience of glamping. We have enjoyed lots of camping holidays but glamping was luxury.. hotel style comfy beds and bedding yet tent experience as we fell asleep listening to owls hooting and woke to cows mooing. Such a well equipped tent . It was strange not flicking a switch to put light on.. head torch is great for cooking. Would advise bringing one. Well stocked with candles and wind up lanterns. We absolutely loved getting away from it all even though we managed to get mobile signal it was lovely to get away from TV and brexit. Lovely setting with lovely host who makes the loveliest raspberry jam. We will be back for sure. Lots to do in local area . Would recommend getting parking explorer ticket at Rutland water as each different carpark had parking charges so worked out expensive buying separate tickets at each.

This was a family trip with two 8 year olds and 3 adults, 3 of whom had not tried glamping before. We were not disappointed at all and found Exton Park the ideal spot to explore the area. June - the Manager in site, was extremely helpful and gave us ideas of where to go and where to eat and assisted whenever we needed advice. The tent and beds were very comfortable and everything we needed was provided.
