We stayed here for 2 nights and the vault room on G/F was the only one left when we booked. I would say it's a bit too small as there's very little space between the bed and the window and between the end of the bed and the wall. However, all other positives override this small negative, which could also be removed by booking another bigger room. Pillow / bed is not comparable to hotel quality but this is a guest house so is still acceptable :) We booked breakfast after seeing the full tray of food which could be enjoyed in the breakfast room or you can take it to the terrace and enjoy it next to the river . Self-service tea is also available in the guest house full day. As we are on the G/F, this made it very convenient for us to get tea during the night.
We had the attic room overlooking the river. So relaxing watching the view. It is a bit of a challenge walking up to the attic if you have mobility problems. Since there were four couples in our group, we had the pension all to ourselves. Breakfast was abundant and filling. Our hostess was friendly and welcoming. My only suggestion for her is to change the beddings as the bedsheet was rough and scratchy. We loved the quaintness of the place and would definitely stay there again.
We had the attic room which was so comfortable and quaint with an amazing view of the river. We chose to have breakfast in our room each morning and so I had access to the kitchen to make tea. It was so lovely. Our host helped us when our flight changed to get in touch with the airline by lending us her phone. I was so grateful. We were here for 3 nights Mar 25 to 28 and the only thing I would change is to be there after April 01 as the castle and Baroque theatre are open then. There is a good chance we will return.
We stayed at this guest house for 2 nights in April, 2019. What a great location! We were in room 3 on the ground floor. It’s a very small room but was quite comfortable. The bed was very comfy and it sure was nice to not have to climb stairs. Breakfast was delicious with lots of food. Tereza is a very gracious and helpful host. Very nice garden to relax in overlooking the river. If you have luggage other than a backpack, be sure to take a taxi from the bus or train station. It’s not that far but can be hard to find.
I stayed here for one night while visiting Cesky Krumlov. I had an attic room and it was huge! It had a bed, couch, and several chairs. It was quiet with a view of the garden, the river, and the castle. It really was a magical place! Breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable and the location was fantastic! Highly recommend!
This is a very lovely place to stay - very unique experience sleep in building from 1633... The staff is so friendly and the breakfast is really good - a lot of options. The location is also a plus - close to everything,
We were lucky enough to stay here for two nights in May. Our room was the attic room with an awesome view of the castle one way and down the river the other way. It was comfortable and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the breakfast that Tereza carefully put together each morning. It was plentiful and delicious. She was a very hospitable and helpful host. We can't thank her enough for such a wonderful stay in Cesky Krumlov. We enjoyed breakfast in the garden and one evening a glass of wine. Very relaxing and away from the crowds.
This is a cute little pension in the middle of Cesky Krumlov. Small but comfortable rooms, although the pillows were a bit flat. Staff is friendly and happy to help. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Great value!
We loved the location of Penzionek Olsakovsky. We had the top room which had a large bathroom and a sitting area. It was a charming place. We enjoyed walking out the back door onto the garden terrace. From there, a gate opens to a slate/rock little walkway next to the river. We sat there and ducks swam up to us. Breakfast was not a hot meal but it was excellent and more food than we could eat. Teresa was a great hostess. The castle, stores, and restaurants were all just a walk away. The only minor negative was the sheets and towels were very rough (they are air dried), the bedcover was actually 2 different pieces that kept shifting (common in Europe) and the pillows were really just a flat sham. We easily got used to these things and definitely would recommend staying here!…
Room was somewhat small, but plenty big for my wife and I and full of charm. Breakfast service is great, there's a great little "store" where you can buy beer and wine on the honor system, and a beautiful garden to eat breakfast at.
