I'd just like to say a big thank you to all the staff at the JW Marriott Hanoi for their exceptional support, kindness and service during a difficult time.

I was on a business trip to Hanoi enjoying all the facilities and exceptional service that the JW Marriott had to offer. Unfortunately on my second week, a colleague and myself tested positive for COVID-19. We felt a bit rough, but were not very poorly, but as we are responsible people we immediately reported it to the Marriott staff. We were very anxious as the last thing we wanted was to end up in a Vietnamese Hospital COVID ward. The hotel management advised that they could accommodate us and we could quarantine in the hotel.

New rooms on the furthest part of the corridors were prepared with boxes of bottled water, lots of towels, toilet paper etc which would mean that no staff member would have to enter the room during our quarantine. All food was delivered by Room Service and left outside the room. My quarantine lasted 10 days until I tested negative. During the time the Guest Services Manager (Tram) would call over the phone to check up on us and leave occasional treats outside our doors.

After 10 days, we were free of quarantine and once again enjoyed the excellent hospitality the hotel has to offer.

I highly recommend this hotel. The hotel and facilities are top class, but the staff are really exceptional.

My wife and I are celebrating our 50th with a 6 week tour of SE Asia. As loyal Bonvoy Elite Platinum we are staying in Marriott properties when we can.

We checked into the JW Marriott Hanoi and were immediately upgraded to a fantastic Suite possibly the most spacious and modern room we've enjoyed ever. Really the room was over the top with 2 TVs enormous bed with luxury linen a large soaking tub and a waterfall shower.

As Platinum, access to the 6th floor lounge with a large variety of hot and cold foods including a omelet bar and full self serve bar with a wide selection of liquor and beer and wine.

Really, everything here from doorman to cleaning was 6 Star.

Thank you JW Marriott Hanoi for helping to make our 50th so memorable.

The first impression of the hotel was very good and all the staff are like family.

In particular, Thoa(the duty manager) was very kind and she checked whether there were any inconveniences in the whole itinerary of staying at the hotel.

On weekends, a leisurely breakfast with a lake view at JW Cafe is a special benefit of Hanoi Marriott.
At JW Cafe assistant manager Huong was very kind and every sunday morning serviced special egg coffee for me. Thank you for cafe staffs.

And every night i had dinner at 6th floor lounge.
All the staffs took great care of me, so I was able to spend the evening comfortably as if I was at home.
Thanks to Zack for introducing me to a new world of cocktails every day.

Lastly, thank you for arranging Korean staff for many Korean guests at the Marriott Hotel.
Korean staff, Ms. Sunwoo would like to thank you for checking the condition of my room in detail and taking care of the old dust on the ceiling so that it can be thoroughly cleaned.

I definitely want to visit Hanoi Marriott Hotel again next time and I want to see the Marriott family again.

In Vietnam, February 2nd is the Lunar New Year.
Happy New Year to all Marriott's staff!

Although its location is a bit isolated, the quality, service and staff of this hotel make it an amazing choice. As others have stated, this is one of Marriott’s top properties anywhere; in Hanoi it stands out even more!

The rooms are enormous and offer beautiful views of the lake and city skyline. The restaurants are excellent, offering rare opportunities to eat fresh fruits and produce without worry.

We took full advantage of this property halfway through a 3-week cycling trip and continued on energized and recharged!

I had a business trip with my son to Hanoi for 3 days. It was a wise choice to stay in JW Marriott instead of being in Old Quarter where is now very crowded and noisy. The services were fantastic and far more than I expected. I should thank you all very much for taking care of my son, to.

when my wife and myself arrive on JW Marriot Hanoi on 27th jan 2020, we were greeted with a great smile from the doorman and he help to carry our luggage then direct us to the check in counters. With less than 5 mins, our check in were done and the front desk even upgrade our room automatically and explain in details what benefits we have for our upgrade room.

A job well done for Miss Loan from the F&B clubhouse and Miss Sunny from the club house front desk. excellent services in helping us out during our stay in the hotel.

Best regards,
Kelvin

Beautiful surroundings with great hospitality and warm welcome from every staff that you meet. Honestly it was one of the best experience I ever have in my travels.

I kickstarted my day with scrumptious buffet breakfast, it comes with delicious range of cuisines for me to indulge.

Next the housekeeping staff are so efficient and friendly. Ms Nga ensures the room n bath are in tiptop condition and spotless. She also speaks good English and communicates well.

Gym is also my favorite spot, I like the look of the studio and range of machines and equipments. The treadmill faces the lake n sunrise.

Overall satisfying stay.

We stayed 1 night at the JW. We initially stayed 1 night in the Sheraton because we needed to be closer to the old quarter for a transfer. I think the Sheraton location may be slightly preferable if you want to experience the tourist sites, but we still had to take a Grab from that hotel to old quarter. The JW offered what we were looking for with a quiet stay to end our 2 week trip around Asia. It is in more of a business area, which I think is nicer and the property is breathtaking.

The entrance and lobby is beautiful and there is plenty of staff to greet you. When we arrived, the bell service immediately asked my last name and brought me to check in. Once the front desk realized I was Platinum, they took me to the executive lounge for check in. This is one of the few Marriott properties I have experienced in the COVID era that recognizes and treats Platinum guests well. Tu Ugyen greeted us and she marks one of the best check in experiences I have had.

I had some issues with the spa in regards to scheduling that was mildly irritating and when I asked the front desk to take care of it, she just handed me the phone. That was the only service part I thought could be improved. Overall, the spa experience was great and my wife loved it.

The room is well appointed. We used our suite night for a Lake view suite, which I highly recommend. It is a modern room with electric powered drapes. I love the shower as it has 3 different modes for showering. They also give larger Aromatherapy bottles.

The lounge was beautiful and the selections were plentiful. The pho was great and service attentive. Thao welcomed us in the morning and remembered it was our honeymoon. It is small details like this that make the service exceptional.

Lastly, my wife needed some hygiene products and Thuong came up to our room, gathered cash, took a taxi, and bought our stuff at the store. I have never had service like this.

This is a 5 star hotel and I wish I could have stayed longer. If I come back to Hanoi, I am coming back to the JW Marriott.

I initially wanted to book my whole stay in Hanoi in this hotel but was worried that it ranks at 98th and quite a number of reviews said this is a dated hotel (my main concern).

So I decided to stay 2 days in JW and another 2 days in city hotel. Without comparison you won't know what is good, and I regretted not staying all 4 days in JW. The price in JW is more expensive than the city hotel by 100% but the room size is also larger by 100%. I don't feel the hotel is dated at all, not sure if any renovation done. It is just the design/ interior/ style is not modern or new but definitely the room does not look old. Maybe they maintained it really well?

Recognition is given to Platinum member and I was upgraded to suite room. Executive lounge serves juices and nice desert (cake). Breakfast has good variety and the Pho noodle is good.

Outside the hotel there's a lake and its really peaceful to take a stroll there. Bathroom amenities is nice, staff are friendly and mostly could speak English. Concierge is helpful and assisted me to order from a local restaurant that requires a local Vietnam number. Recommended to stay here.

Will definitely return when I visit Hanoi again.

Nice hotel although it's on expensive side. Good recognition for Platinum elite member. Upgraded to suite room. Read many reviews sayings it's dated. But it looks new to me so not a problem at all. But the deco and style is not new or modern as it was built many years ago. Outside the hotel there's a lake and its really peaceful to take a stroll there. Bathroom amenities is nice, staff are friendly and mostly could speak English. Concierge is helpful and assisted me to order from a local restaurant that requires a local Vietnam number. Recommended to stay here.

Very good service, the staff are very helpful. The lounge on the 6th floor is well stocked and big enough that you don’t feel crowded. The rooms are very spacious, the bed, pillows and linen were per Marriott standard which made sure we had a good night’s sleep.

No, it's a good distance away from the BEST parts of Hanoi, so there are better alternatives to be in the middle of the 'cool quarter', but it's still a great hotel.
