The location is great which is 15min walking to Old Town and other main attractions. Moreover, there are many pubs and restaurants around the hostel. The facilities are basic with this price. I had to stay in the basement which is quite dark and wet.

Facilities weren't bad, plenty of showers/toilets on offer, bit grim but you can't complain, especially with the cheapness of the hostel. Within a five minute walk of the main club and ten minutes from the centre. Well worth a stay if on a budget.

Having travelled across Europe for two weeks, Prague was our last spot and Hostel Emma was a great place to finish in. It was clean, relaxed with a huge kitchen/living area, and more importantly - comfy beds! It was in a fabulous location and the walk to the old city was short and sweet. The staff were all pleasant and...

This hostel has everything that you need and is in walking distance of everything that you'll want to see. We only stayed there one night, but the staff were friendly, the place was clean, and there are plenty of restaurants and bars very close by.

We stayed two nights at Emma. Walking distance to major attractions, walking distance home after going out. Rooms were nice, the beds were a bit squeaky. The bath rooms were perfectly okay. Good value for money!

Other than having to climb four (4) high European floors without a lift to reach my room the hotel may be in the best location in Prague. The entire staff that worked the front desk spoke English, were friendly and very helpful from providing directions to nearby dining recommendations. It is a first rate front desk staff. I had a...

Stayed in a double room, clean although limited furniture... Wardrobe but no hangers, no bin and only one plug socket (the other was broken with an exposed wire!). Cracked window as well, which wasn't great. Kitchen was okay, plenty of toilets however the showers were not great. All 3 had issues, in one the shower head had broken, meaning you...

Price is fantastical, location is superb. Rooms are poorly equiped, but for 5€/night we can't it is bad. Restroom is OK, nothing special. I was 2 in Emma and both times everything was ok. I had no bugs in my rooms, sheets were clean and fresh.

The only interesting things about this hostel were price and location. 15 minutes away from the centre and close to a tram station. We were a group of twenty persons and we stayed for 6 nights. Fortunately, we didn’t spend much time in there. The kitchen/common room was not welcoming at all. Located in the basement with no window, it...

Extremely cheap, couldn't really expect more at that price. Upsides: Perfectly comfortable beds. Shower had good pressure although took a while to warm up. Most things seemed clean enough. Free WiFi in rooms. Brilliant location. Downsides: Only one power socket in our five bed room, which was really inconvenient and meant my phone died on the train home. Also no...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
