Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely perfect! The facilities exceeded our expectations - we couldn't believe how beautiful the room was - and it's in a fab location for getting around, being right next to a Metro stop and less than a 10-minute walk to the Old Town Square. A special shoutout to Ahmed the concierge who was so friendly and helpful towards us. I couldn't rate this place any higher!

This hotel is at best a good 3 star. It is good value for money and ideal location which make it still a hotel worth considering but it is by no means a 5 star hotel in comparison to typical standards. It had so many flaws that I was so disappointed after reading such good reviews. My first piece of advice is not to book through booking.com - we booked a spa room with balcony. Our room had a spa bath (which didn’t work) but no balcony. When I queried this on day 2 I found the staff on the desk to be quite rude and to tell me it’s booking.coms fault to contact them as it has happened before. When I suggested they consider not using booking.com they looked into it and told me to come back after I’d gone out. I checked back in and they told me they found me a room with a balcony but I needed to hurry as they wanted to clean my room. When I went to check the new room - yes it had the smallest balcony ever but then no spa bath so I didn’t have my booking room still. I stayed in my original room. In my original room there are lots of basics they do not get right - they have a Japanese toilet but this didn’t work. They have no mirror in the main part of the room. The towels are like sand paper. The shower is incredibly weak. We tried to use the bath and if took nearly 1 hour to fill to a decent standard as pressure so weak and then guess what - the spa jets didn’t work! Instead of focusing their time and money on baths and toilet seats which don’t work - they should spend it on nicer basics like decent towels. After the cold response when I queried my room being wrong I did not even ask about the broken toilet and bath as I was clearly an inconvenience. The walls are thin - you can hear everything next door, including the dog barking. There is a smell of damp in the corridors. There and pillows are decent. Breakfast was included and whilst food is decent - service and basics shambolic again on one morning. Constantly running out of cutlery, bowls, milk, teabags etc. and nobody bothering to fill it up. Toasters fire hazard with cables on top of them and the staff did not seem bothered filling up what was gone. Service got a little better on the other two mornings. It was only on checkout that we met good customer service. There was a lady on the desk who I hadn’t seen before, she wasn’t happy when we said the stay was overall fine and offered to wave the city tax and €2 mini bar charge. This was nice of them and perhaps if I’d met her earlier in the week it would have been a more pleasant stay. It was ironic that the first staff member who failed to adequately deal with my original query was there and was suddenly apologetic! Overall I won’t return to this hotel. There is much better in Prague. It is a reasonably cheap price but even still I won’t be back.

The hotel and our experience was just perfect!!! Everything was accurate, the rooms are stunning and designed to a high standard, the location is close to everything within walking distance, the breakfast is varied and delicious and of course it is impossible not to mention the amazing and kind staff of the hotel who took care of every detail. The charming Orit who took care of us from the moment we arrived until we left, and all the other staff who always asked if we needed anything. Everyone is smiling, charming and kind who just made the whole experience perfect. There is no doubt that I highly recommend this hotel! My partner proposed to me on the roof of the hotel and all thanks to the girls at the reception who made sure to help him with everything, design, put flowers, roses, music in the background, a stunning corner to sit in, and photographed everything like a professional photographer! Thanks for everything! ❤️

One more stay to that perfect hôtel in the centre of Prague near the old town, Narodni Muséum, Prague Astronomical Clock/ Pražský orloj etc etc Very clean, calm, with good service, helpful personnel... many facilities, interesting bar restaurant and rich breakfast.. En plus l'atmosphère alternative de l'hôtel et son caractère minimal vraiment nous attirent! On vous propose Pytloun Boutique sans aucune hésitation!

The Hotel is in an excellent location near bars restaurants ,shops and the Mustek metro station , all just minutes walk. Old town square is 15 mins walk Rooms are modern, average sized and with a glass box bathroom and colour changing lighting and coffee maker. The beds are large and comfortable. A nice breakfast, with good unlimited buffet of both continental and cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was excellent. My only criticisms were that there was only one English TV Channel ( news) and that, as the hotel breakfast was open to non residents, it was difficult to get a seat in the bar. A guest only area would have been better. Last but not least, although outside of the hotels control, you should note that there is a church very close to the hotel which, at 7.45 am each morning tolls it's bells for several minutes continuously. So if you want a lie in this may be an issue, although if you want a traditional alarm, it will serve you well. Overall, I'd highly recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

Took my partner for a stay in Prague over Christmas. First time in 7 year having time off and glad we chose Pytloun hotel. The service was exceptional and they deserved being 5star hotel. Staff at the reception were so helpful to us. At one point we had the pleasure to meet their hotel manager Tomas. Such a great guy down to the earth. Going above and beyond so we can have an amazing stay in Prague. If you see tall guy with moustache that’s him. Don’t be afraid to chat to him like we did. We definitely will go again once.

Myself and my partner went to Prague to get the right Christmas mood. Chose Pytloun hotel just at the Wenceslas square. On the day met by the hotel manager Tomáš. He met us with such a warm welcome and explained all we needed to have a pleasant stay at the hotel. He also gave us tips for the Prague and where to go. Amazing. Breakfasts and the service was outstanding. If you doubting where to stay you should stay there. You won’t regret it.

What a gem. A truly expeptional 4 days we had here. Location is amazing, you are literally in the middle of everything. The staff, all amazing! From being looked after so well at check in, offered so much help while we were there even finding me some duct tape to tape up our lugguage as it tore, they were amazing! Other things to mention were breakfast, canepes, coffee all day. Our room, we stayed in a supioror family room and it was awesome. Enough room for 4 people. Beds comfy, shower awesome and even coloured LED CEILING lights for the kids. A seriously great hotel. Negitives were that its a little noisy staying plaza side which we didnt mind as we watched people all the people walking and enjoying life from the 3rd floor and the ice skating also, and the fridge didnt work well. But as its cold our drinks went on our window ledge and worked a treat! If your in Prague stay here and you wont be disappointed.

Really good location, nice breakfast and really helpful staff. My wife and I stayed here in May 2023. We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a decent location and this ticked both boxes. The river’s nearby and a park that you can walk through to get to the Charles Bridge.

Very nice hotel. Very clean. The bed is very comfortable and good. The third bed for my daughter was not very good and we had to ask twice for an extra mattress. Breakfast is very good and the location is perfect. It is pretty friendly, which is okay, but I met face to face with a pit bull coming down the stairs with the owner who had to pull it hard. One second later and muy face would be different now. It was scary.
