Super cool hotel. Our room had and balcony, which was great since you can smoke inside most establishments in Europe, I was able to air out my clothes on the balcony. Rooms were clean, and so was the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and spacious. There's little kitchenette if needed! The breakfast was nice and fresh, lots of variety! They...

Me and the girlfriend were only staying in Prague for a short space of time so only needed the room for one night. It was clean and welcoming. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly and we would happily recommend. Unfortunately, in this day in age for any establishment to get 5/5 it must have good wifi and that's where...

My girlfriend and I had a really great stay at Pur Pur. Clean nice room and the window between the shower/ bathroom and the room are a really cool feature (as a couple) for family traveling together, there is a curtain to cover the window if needed. :) The internet is unforgenently not great at all. It has more down-periods...

I absolutely adore Prague and was pleasantly surprised by the PurPur hotel. The location was amazing and the price was good. The front desk staff was nice, the breakfast buffet was adequate. I think the charm of the city seeps into all aspects of its hospitality. The room was good, but not great. Although the amenities were modern, it never...

Positive points : - pretty well situated - cheap - beds are pretty comfy -hygiene is near perfect - handy safe and mini fridge Negative points : - NO WIFI OR SATELLITE TV IN ROOMS. As far as I've understood, some rooms do in fact have these things, but you are NOT GUARANTEED them. When we complained three times to...

In short good budget hotel in excellent location. My room was on the 4th floor but there is a lift to use if you're warn out from walking around beautiful Prague. Wifi was good, dropped out occasionally but fine for my needs. Room was modern and clean, shower was always hot, had a kitchenette and fridge/minibar. Small balcony which I...

When choosing a hotel for one short overnight stay I made a reservation at Hotel PurPur. Not a bad choice at all, however I was a bit confused. First of all, location is great. Very central location with easy access to the city center (5-10 mins by walk to Wenceslas square). Great, helpful and always smiling lady at the front...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
