You have to walk out of your way to a different hostel to be picked up and walked to the actual hostel which is inconvenient. Once we got there we were pleasantly surprised. Our room was really big and nice and clean. The kitchen has everything you need including an oven. The main bathroom has a really nice bath tub....

May be the place is isolated and it is not so brightly lit. The rooms are dark and cold. The showers were cold. But the cost was effective. The toilets were small and not many people were seen to have stayed in it.

I know people say don't judge a book by its cover, but the entrance to this place looked like something filthy from a dystopian novel. No where to check, and only a tiny, illegible sticker telling you to walk a few kilometres over to check in. We canceled on the spot and paid the penalty. My wife absolutely refused to...

Two friends and I went from Vienna to Prague Main Railwaystation via FlixBus. I was looking for a hostel in New Town, south of Prague Old Town. The Ragtime hostel was in terms of price and location the best opportunity for us. It is situated in a region 15min walk from the Main Railwaystation where are many taverns with delicious,...

we were biten by bedbugs. toilette and bath both were in one single room. for check-in we had to walk another hotel where the reseptionist was very rude. early (2 months) reservation turned into a financial disadvantage as there was an %35 discount while we were staying at hotel.

Perfect location near to the main touristic places, from where you can walk to the main sights in town. Located in a quiet neighbourhood. Room bigger than average for a hostel. Cleanliness, heating system working fine in the winter, hot water in the bathroom. Nice and helpful staff. The reception desk is in another address, but it’s not a real...

The hostel is located within walking distance to the Narodni Trida metro(yellow line) in Prague 1. For the money you pay, this is as good as it gets this close to the city center. The hostel is within walking distance to almost every sight of attraction in Prague. It might be a little difficult to find the entrance at first...

Ignore the graffiti pictures and grotty looking beds, this is a great cheap and cheerful place to stay. Great location and I a nice safe part of town. Down side is that it only had one bathroom and toilet, and no living room. But if you don't plan on staying there much then not an issue. Was also exceptionally cheap,...

After get a lot confuse in Prag, I finally found the place. That was all I needed! A big bed (I got myself a room), a relaxing shower and silence to rest! Ragtime is really really well located and really comfortable. I also had a table to eat some treats I had for my trip and plan the day next.

Ragtime is located in Nove Mesto, an area full of pubs and restaurants; moreover, Karlovo Namesti metro station is within walking distance. Our twin room was in a small apartment with a big bathroom and a neat kitchen that we shared with another room. We had no problem whatsoever during our stay. The main plus was the powerful hot shower,...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
