The hotel is very central. Treats in the room on arrival. It was my wife's birthday while we were there and we arrived back to the hotel to find complimentary champagne and cake in our room. It made me look really good! I also went on the early morning run taking in the city sights and on return to the...

The staff was great, accommodating and welcoming. The room was comfortable, bed was nice and all that we needed in our visit. On top of it, we had a pet goldfish in our room that we named Gale. Gale was/is awesome. Perfect location, better than expected breakfast and once again, excellent service. While touring Prague, we realized there are a...

We spent four nights here and it was brilliant. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was immaculate. The breakfast was excellent everyday and the location was perfect. It was recommended to us by a friend and she was absolutely right to do so. Would definitely stay here again.

A great hotel central to everything yet on a peaceful street. The staff & service are excellent. The most helpful & friendly people you could wish for. They really seemed to want to help & make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was a treat. As well as the buffet (which had everything and was constantly monitored for freshness)...

The Maximilian is exactly what you would expect from a 4* hotel. Polite and helpful staff. A clean room with modern decor and all the expected perks. The honesty bar, goldfish in the rooms and morning run are all subtle touches that add to the welcoming feel. As many have mentioned the breakfast is outstanding, certainly the best hotel breakfast...

This hotel was excellent, the room clean in very good condition, all facilities worked how they should do.The service provided by the staff was first class,as for the breakfast, the only hotel that I have stayed in that excels it is the H10 at Barcelona, so that's saying something. I would recommend this hotel because of its location and cost.Top Class

Stayed here for a 3-day break. What a wonderful hotel! All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional but it was the extras like being able to 'borrow' a pet fish, watch dvds, the honesty bar, (loved the cheese and wine tasting) plus a superlative breakfast that made our Maximilian stay so enjoyable. Thank you to everyone :)

Friendly, helpful staff and many thoughtful touches ensured our stay was comfortable. The location is ideal in a quiet square surrounded by great little restaurants and bars, but only a few minutes' walk from the Old Square. I have no criticisms: definitely recommended.

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
