We stayed here for 7 days while we toured Prague. Quiet and serene, not in the loud center of the action, but the tram is just near the hotel and after climbing a few steps the tram setup is right there, and a 10 minute ride and you are in the center of town. Perfect for us because we do... More

We absolutely LOVED Hotel U Raka! The inn was lovely, something out of a storybook. The owners and their friendly, hospitable staff made us feel so comfortable and at home. The inn was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff was outstanding and cater3ed to our every need. I recommend this wonderful place highly and look forward to returning one day.

We booked this hotel despite claims that it was a "long walk" from the historic Old and New cities by the riverfront. The relaxed stroll through some of Prague's most charming streets was never boring! Located in a mostly residential area, it is not near rollicking nightlife, but it is right on some of Prague's most useful tram lines. The... More

Not only has this hotel in a beautiful old building the usual amenities (TV, safe, lovely bathroom), is perfectly clean and are the rooms very spacious, but it has this individual style, romantic charm and picturesqueness about it that makes it absolutely unique. It is situated in one of the quietest corners of the town, and still it's only a... More

First, I would stay here again. We had a wonderful visit. Second, as you leave the hotel there is a long staircase. Go straight up the stairs and the views are great. Better yet, the 22 Tram stop is a block away. This was our little oasis after being out in the crowds all day long. If you are looking... More

Quiet romantic location but easy walk to everything. Prague is busy and bustling with tourists and tour groups, so it was wonderful to come back to Hotel U Raka each evening. Excellent internet connection, delicious breakfast, and near one of the best restaurants in Prague. Couldn't ask for more!

What a great experience. We had just completed a river cruise. Arriving at U Raka was heaven. The accommodations were beautiful, loved the garden/patio. The staff was very attentive and the room was very clean. It is located in the Castle district in a quiet area a few blocks away. The tram is a few blocks away to take you... More

We recently stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed the accommodations immensely. The breakfasts were plentiful and varied and a great way to start the day. Our room was large and well thought out. Service was outstanding and always friendly. The location is a bit out of the way but trolley service easily accessed and a few minute walk. This is... More

Staying in Hradcany & Letna

Neighbourhood Profile
Hradcany & Letna
Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.
