We had a great stay at the Unitas. The room was VERY spacious - far more than expected, or at any other hotel room we've seen in years. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, and we liked the breakfasts a lot - so much so we actually went every day, even though we hadn't booked the "breakfast included" option in advance.
The location was central, and pretty close to Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, etc., although it was such that it led to a lot of walking. In hindsight we should have used the trams more. The one downside to this room was the shower, which would be a bit challenging for shorter people, and is not accessible. It was a very high bathtub with a hand-held shower head. It made it difficult to get in and out and use effectively after long days of walking.
On the whole though we were very happy with this hotel, and highly recommend it.

From the moment we arrived at the front desk it was clear that our stay would be exceptional. The staff are courteous, informative, and welcoming. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. Cleaned daily. The breakfast is a three course repast that will fulfil the appetites of vegans, cooked breakfast, continental breakfast, and sweet-toothed diners. The dining staff are excellent, keeping an eye on diners’ needs, ensuring the array of foods are available and aesthetically presented. There is a courtyard with an awning for outdoor space. Parking is available if pre booked. Prague’s Historic District is on the doorstep, without any of the carnivalesque atmosphere impeding sleep. We applaud the staff.

This hotel is central and only a 10 minute walk to everything you want to see . Reserved parking is available which was a big plus for me and only 25 euro's per night which I thought was very reasonable . This hotel has some history as it was a monestary years ago and was renovated into a hotel . Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious and very clean . Staff and front desk were very helpful answering all of our questions . Breakfast buffet was great and also at a reasonable price of 15 euros per person . This is the hotel you want to stay at while visiting Prague . I highly recommend and will be staying here again when we return to this beautiful city . Thanks Unitas Hotel !

The Unitas hotel is located in the old part of Prague, just a short walk from everything. The location is great. In the building the silence is absolute, there is no noise, none. Total rest in that regard. The staff very, very nice, attentive to all your needs. The cleaning is correct, although for my taste the carpeted floor always creates doubts regarding the thorough cleaning. The coffee and infusions detail (which they replenish each day) is an extra that is appreciated before going down to breakfast. The breakfast stay is very cozy, without haste or haste; very complete. My only complaint is the bathtub (it has no shower tray), at least in the “honey moon room”: it is dangerous and very, very unsafe due to the excessive height, lack of grips and how slippery it becomes with the remains of soap. It has no screen or curtains and the whole floor ends up puddled, however careful you are. Only with two grips on the wall and a screen would avoid that insecurity and the real danger of slipping. Satellite TV does not take any channels from Spain, but from other countries and languages. Otherwise the stay has been very good (the taxi service to the airport great, they take care of sending your mail if you need it). It is very good option provided the room has the option of shower.

The Unitas is within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. The building is historic so each of the 4 rooms we had were laid out differently. All were spacious and had comfortable beds. Our room had a soaker tub with a hand-held shower which was fine but it was a big step out of the tub - ask for a room with a standard shower if you are unstable or short. The breakfast was excellent - fresh fruit, baked goods, yogurt, cereals, cheeses, omelettes to order. The staff is very friendly and helpful. As others have mentioned, there are a few small, local bars down the street, but friends with rooms on the street didn’t mention hearing any noise. There are lots of rooms off the street, though. I highly recommend the Unitas for location, value, staff, and historical character.

People of the world, please do not visit this hotel. Please. I found a gem and want it for myself only. Situated on very quiet street yet close to all attractions and sightseeing, you need to walk only 5 to 10 minutes anywhere. A former monastery, they decided to go old way and they nailed it. Extremely clean, spacious rooms, very comfortable beds, quality amenities in bathroom, soft towels. Cute personal touch everywhere, little note with name of staff that cleans your room, old style key you need to handover at reception, you are always greeted with great smile and kindness. Delicious breakfast selection with some best coffee I have tried. Every staff member makes you feel welcomed. Positive vibes all around you. My 8 year old told me he has best sleep in his life here and that's a not easy compliment. Overall, I want to give 10 star, rating,( or twenty )because 5 star not enough.

We have stayed at this hotel 4 times and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately, the service and level of quality has gone down hill considerably since our last visit. I am not sure if the management has changed but this is not the Unitis that we once knew and loved. We chose to return once again to our once favorite hotel in Prague to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Unfortunately, we ended up staying and suffering for one night and had to move to another hotel. When we checked in our room was noticeably hot and humid and had a musty smell. We assumed that the room was warm due to them not having the air conditioning running so we turned it up to the maximum cooling temperature and left to enjoy some of our favorite spots in the city. When we returned around 4:30pm we were quite upset to find the room still uncomfortably warm and humid with a musty smell. We decided we couldn’t stay as it would be difficult to get a good nights sleep. I spoke to the hotel clerk and was shown another room, which felt similarly uncomfortable temperature wise. We decided that since the rooms were uncomfortably warm we would not be able to sleep in the hotel . The hotel manager said he had no other complaints and that we would have to pay for the night. He said that if we complained within the first hour we could have had our money back. We didn’t complain right away as we figured the room would cool off after the air conditioning was running for a few hours. If I knew we would be forced to stay in a room that we would end up sleeping in sweat and tossing and turning all night I would have refused the room immediately. I assumed the quality of customer care was the same as our previous visits but this hotel has obviously gone down hill since our last visit. Additionally, the once phenomenal breakfast has also declined in quality and choice . While it was not bad by any means, the choice and quality was not what it once was. It also seems that the rooms are not as well appointed as they once were . The “king bed “ was 2 twin beds pushed together, which only added to the uncomfortable experience. We ended up finding another hotel where the rooms were cool and comfortable and the service phenomenal. I will write a separate review about this hotel in a different post as I am not looking to pit one hotel against the other. I just feel it is my duty to report my latest experience with this hotel as I had written glowing reviews in the past and, unfortunately, the high standard of quality and focus on customer satisfaction is no longer what it once was as the manager did not show the slightest concern for the poor experience we had. You would think that he would have taken the word of repeat guests but he said there were no other complaints so he basically treated us like we were lying … We were there for our 5th visit to their hotel but this time out of the blue we decided to make up a story so that we could spend part of our 20th anniversary searching for another hotel and have to repack and walk through the streets of Prague with all of our luggage???? It is quite sad as this was once our “ go to” hotel in Prague and now we will never return .

Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent experience in Unitas Hotel. Naturally we are very disappointed to have a repeat customer leaving us dissatisfied and looking for alternative accommodation. However we believe that in this instance we provided the customer with fair treatment and services that were up to our usual standards as described in the other overwhelmingly positive reviews. Well aware that this was a repeat customer these guests were given a free upgrade to a Junior Suite. Access to the room was provided shortly after 10 AM. Upon receiving the first complaint about air conditioning and air quality around 5 PM the guests were offered a different room without question. Prior to that the new room was inspected and the air conditioning was found in fully functional condition and already running for an extended amount of time so the room was considerably cooler than the surrounding temperatures. Unfortunately this alternative room was rejected with similar reasoning. Perhaps this was down to a combination of the very unpleasant hot weather in Prague on those days and the respiratory problems the guest mentioned during their complaint. Unfortunately at that point we were out of options as no other rooms were available. Since by that time the original room was occupied for a significant amount of time the guests were asked to pay for the first night in case they decided to leave and look for a different hotel. Prior to and since their stay we have received no other complaints about air conditioning or air quality from other customers staying in those same two rooms making it very difficult to identify the issue.

Excellent hotel, the staff are very friendly especially the staff at the reception. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Many thanks go out to Ivan, Duc, Danny's, Patricia and Loucie and the front desk. We booked a room for a king size bed but when we arrived it was 2 twin beds but Ivan from the reception immediately rectified the issue and joined the 2 twin beds. The hotel is in a very quiet area and walking distance to all the tourist sites

We loved our stay at Unitas. The location is perfect for a tourist visit within easy walking distance of the main sights. It is located in a little back street away from the crowds and is a quiet oasis of calm after a busy day sightseeing. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a relaxed and comfortable feel. The staff are wonderful, kind and helpful. Our room was spacious with a huge bathroom and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is delicious and definitely worth adding to your booking. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Prague.

Very nice reception at check-in. We were immediately offered a welcome drink. Parking spaces are available in the hotel courtyard for a small additional charge. The breakfast buffet was small but very, very good. There is even a play area for children. So all in all, highly recommended.
