Angry receptionist greets you in the entrance with mostly 'no' as an answer. Room was apparently invaded by roaches although thankfully only the carcasses remained, do yourself a favor and sleep elsewhere!!!

We stayed at this hotel about 15 years ago and returned with fond memories with family for the holiday. The location right at the end of the Charles Bridge is perfect. You can walk to everything. This is a great choice for anyone who likes small, local hotels with lots of charm. The staff is warm and very helpful.

At the foot of the Charles Bridge (on the fortress side) and near everything you want to be! Authentic and full of character, this historic hotel is complete with all of the nuances reflecting of its time. Small rooms but with everything you need. Good food, friendly, helpful staff, and a lot of activity nearby - I have watched the...

.... but in our opinion does not deserve a four star rating. It's a great location at the foot of the Charles Bridge but can be very noisy. We had a superior room with a view, except it didn't have much of a view because there was a building immediately to the left of our room (#24), that obscured most...

A familiar atmosphere, kind and helpful personnel in a country where people are frequently considered somehow cold. Good location and price to quality balance. Excellent breakfast . I intend to return.

Food is good, location second to none, and we have been to many, in Prague. Staff friendly and helpful. Small hotel no more than 20 rooms, but very comfortable. Right under the tower at the end of the Charles bridge, it is almost in fairyland.

My husband has stayed at Hotel U Tri Pstrosu for business, and wanted to stay there for a 3 day extension on a river cruise. We had a room on the 2nd floor that faced the bridge - I knew going in that there was no elevator, and that it could be noisy. The room was clean, roomy, and charming...

We have just returned from a fantastic stay in Prague at this great hotel. Let me begin by saying that this hotel is in a wonderful location; right on Charles Bridge with loads of restaurants, cafes and bars nearby. The nearest tram stop is five minutes away. The central location might mean that there is a little noise from the...

I needed some extra assistance with a matter concerning a friend who was arriving in Prague, and the hotel staff went above and beyond expectations. They were responsive and kind. I am very impressed with this hotel.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

“If you don't want to be bothered by noise, ask for a room that does not over look the bridge. This hotel does not have A/C - so not sure I'd want to stay there in the summer. If you are American, remember that the 1st floor is one floor up - so the second floor is two flights of stairs. ”
