The hotel is located in a nice pink building close to Florenc bus and underground station. It takes approximately 15 mins to walk to the Old Town and the Jewish District. My single room was on the 5th floor (which is a plus, as the hotel is close to a big noisy 4-lane road) and had a nice bathroom with...

Good hotel for a WE in Prague. Rooms are small but clean. Breakfast is basic. When you ask the reception for a taxi make sure that you have an official one. Rooms on the street side can be very noisy.

The hotel feels a bit old, but the rooms are fine and convenient, the people at the reception desk were helpful and breakfast, while could use a bit more variety, has a healthy selection to choose for with just about something for anyone. Good location, close walk to the Palladium mall and overall, we were very pleased with our stay...

Good location about a 10 min walk to the old town. Lots of different shops and restaurants nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and spacious. Decent buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. No draft beer in the bar which was a little disappointing as this is Prague. Would happily stay here again.

I stayed here in May with a group of University students. The location of the hotel is actually very good - if you like to walk. You can take one of three routes and be in the old city square within about 10 minutes, which is great. Each route has unique sites, restaurants, and pubs. The hotel is also just...

Hotel location is not good and still further, the service is very bad team. It was cold in the room and asked to turn on heating, the manager's response was that the system is working correctly and have nothing to do. Breakfast reasonable and not at a high level, there is noise in the hotel. The team always pretended surprise...

Hotel had a reasonable access to old town but everything else is not worth it. First room they gave me had an annoying noise every two minutes that was sure to drive me mad. The next smelled terribly of cigarettes, they pretended to be surprised at this. The room I accepted was cramped and claustrophobic with noisey A/C and too...

We took this hotel for 3 days, the staff welcomed us with an early checkin, 3 hours earlier than the regular checkin time. Also they offered to pack us breakfast for the last day as we had a train very early in the morning. Room was very clean and big. Breakfast was ok. Overall very good hotel with good location.

My first trip to Prague and I picked the Hotel Opera based on reviews only, sight unseen. I couldn't be more happy with 1. The service, 2. The immaculately clean room with balcony and city view. Every time you enter the hotel after a day in the city, you are greeted with a smile and it just feels like home....

The hotel wa located a block away from the main street with easy access to the major sites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and general service was good. However the rooms had a couple of problems. The mattress was lumpy and squeaked. And there was a bathtub with a hand shower making it extremely...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.

“Bed was Hard as rock and bedding was ancient and worn. A/C was very noisey but necessary because the room got very warm even in cold weather. Really impressive water pressure in shower.”
