Location was great as it was about 2 streets over from the Charles Bridge and just down the hill from the Prague Castle. The rooms were small but clean and comfy (and warm! cause it was really cold out!). The breakfast was typical European breakfast but delicious. I did not have a problem with the service. The only time I...

We picked this hotel for several reasons but mostly because the website depicted beautiful character rooms. Well we were not dissappointed. It is absolutely gorgeous and so much better than staying in a boring bland hotel. On top of that the location was quiet ,but so close to Charles bridge and the Castle, its a great area with restaurants etc...

We had a great time staying in U Pava, over Christmas and New Years. The hotel was perfeced for what we needed, close to the centre of Prague and walking distance for everywhere else. Would recommend !

Hotel is located just next to the Charles Bridge, by the entrance to Mala Strana (in my opinion the most adorable part of the old city in Prague). So location is just perfect. Hotel has very original decor, rooms have fire places, what is really nice, after you come back from long freezing walk around the city in December :)...

I have booked this hotel for my husband's birthday. Originally we booked Deluxe room, beautiful - however the room had separated bed in the middle and that was not ideal for newlyweds and the birthday celebration. Well they had only apartments available, so I chose to upgrade. Since this was my husbands birthday, the lovely receptionist offered us the room...

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.
