We went for a winter city break and the location was key to us booking here. It was perfect location wise with only a couple of minutes walk to the main areas and lots of shops and restaurants. The room was huge and comfortable but quite old fashioned, but smoking is allowed indoors here and our room did smell of...

Just back from a 5 night stay in a suite room at the Salvator Hotel, Prague. I absolutely love this hotel! The room was spacious with good TV, tea & coffee, nice bathroom and it was quiet :). The breakfast has large choice and was in the most interesting, charming restaurant... a real gem. And the gentle jazz music just...

The Hotel is very well situated, close to the city center (5 minutes walk to the old town plaza), 3 minutes from the bus station and underground station and to a huge Mall. Nicely decorated (Spaniard style) with an open patio full of plants and flowers. The rooms are huge, decorated with Dali paintings, very tidy with comfortable king size...

I am currently still in this hotel. It is extremely good. The rooms are very large and very clean. Great value and fairly close to Staromestske nam (the square where Tyn church is). There is a supermarket close by, a tourist info place, jazz club an restaurant in the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Oh an beware of...

We stayed only one night on a 3 night visit as they had no vacancy for the other 2 nights. The staff at the desk were extremely helpful in finding us another hotel in the same area for the same rate. Had a big 3 - bed room on the top floor. The exterior elevator in the center court area...

I stayed here with friends during a Christmas break. The location is great with just a 5 minute walk to the Old Town Square and right next to the metro station. The reception staff were polite and friendly. As soon as I'd booked the hotel I received an email from the hotel with information for our stay. Our room was...

This hotel does not seem to appear on many public searches, but it is a wonderful hotel, with a lot of charm and great value for such a central location in the centre of Prague. I have stayed here twice in the past year. The rooms are standard - clean and cosy - which is what you want for a...

We stayed for three nights in a family suite for four (which could sleep 6) on the top floor. We arranged for the hotel to pick us up at the airport; the driver would be waiting for us and we would pay the driver 23 Euros. Indeed we were greeted by him at the airport and he immediately said that...

Salvator is in the perfect location for exploring the city of Prague. It's only a minutes walk from the Municipal House, the most beautiful art nouveau building i have ever seen, and approx 10 mins from the old town square. The rooms are large with high ceilings and full length windows that let in lots of light. Despite it's central...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
