When you book a bargain break you hope for a good hotel but expect some issues to appear. Not at this hotel! Welcoming staff, superb room with spotlessly clean bathroom, excellent decor throughout the hotel, good breakfast and inviting bar area. Close to Wenceslas square and within a 15 minute walk to the Old Town.

Clean hotel. Centrally located. Breakfast was good. Barman Tomas was an absolute gentleman and made our group feel very welcome. When checking out, reception had no problem in minding our bags until we travelled. No problem in recommending.

On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist, given a map of the city and a voucher for a welcome drink in the bar. A very nice porter took our bags and we were shown to our room on the second floor. Although at the front of the hotel we didn't hear any traffic due...

we stayed for three days in November and thought the hotel was in a great location within about a 10 minute walk to the river and main square and five minutes from Wenceslas square. Lots of bars and restaurants very close by and a chance to explore slightly awry from the big crowds. Rooms were functional but typically furnished. The...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
